Expensive Orchid

On our last trip to Hawaii my husband and I decided to splurge and visit one of the other islands. We chose the Big Island. The volcano was fascinating but there were plenty of other sights to see as well. One of the stops on our tour was an orchid nursery. The flowers there were incredibly beautiful. It was an absolute feast for the eyes. While there were several items available for purchase there was one with a price tag I could never afford. On display was a rare orchid with a price tag of 20,000. It was explained to us that the price was so high because no one had been able to clone this particular flower. It was interesting to see this plant but I couldn't imagine spending that kind of money on it. There were many other orchids there that I felt out shined this one but I am not the expert.
