Ever Played a Game You Just Couldn't Get to the End Of?

For well over 10 years I've been playing this old DOS game called Wurm. Less frequently in the present because it doesn't run on most of the DOS in Windows programs. So every time I want to play it, I normally have to set up my old IBM XT. However, recently I got DOS Box and now it will run properly. I played it a lot as a kid and it was so much fun. It's still the best snake type game I've ever played. Recently I realized that if there is an end to this game, I never made it to the end. So now I've been on a mission to beat it. Tonight I came closer than I ever have (a score of 26,000 if you're familiar with the game). But still, no end in sight! I'm sure there have been other games I haven't finished. But normally any game I play a lot, I eventually came to an end. And I think this game must have an end because different things happen at different scores and I imagine it must end eventually. But I managed to stay alive for 2 hours tonight, and still nothing.
