Traveled end to end from the Northwest to the Southeast

In 2004 i traveled end to end..from Seattle Washington to Atlanta GA, all by car. With three stops which lasted more than a day, what route would you take. I took a scenic route from Seattle to Santa Fe New Mexico, from the Their thru Texas, then followed the coast thru Louisiana, then thru Alabama, then traveled up again and crossed over into Georgia then up to Northern GA. If you could travel by car again, what routes would you take if you traveled end to end, Northwest to Southeast or even just NORTH and SOUTH.
