What is your means of transportation?

when going to the office, or going to a place you will visit what is your usual means of transport? a car? do you drive it? a jeep? bus? train? With me, my usual transport is a motorcycle. me and my husband usually goes to work together so he drives it and i'm a back ride. its kinda fast since we can go to shortcuts. but when i have a different schedule i go to work alone thats the time i use public transportation. i ride a tricycle first. then a jeep, then a bus, then a train (MRT). 4 different means of transport. but when i dont want to go up and down those vehicles, i eliminate the train, i should be an hour early so i wont be late. i'll just ride the tricycle, the jeep then the bus to the office. how about you myLotters, what are your means of transportation?

My means of transportation to work is my car. Even though I have taken the bus, cab and subway a long time ago. I'm thankful for my car even though gas is high. There is nothing like being able to leave when you get ready and not having to wait for your transportation.

Bus or train... If I'm in a rush, I'll take a train or taxi. I've always dreamed about cycling to work but there are too many cars here and it's dangerous to cycle on highways.. Taxi is getting very expensive too so I usually try to take bus or train. I hate to take bus or train as it's always so... crowded..

hi poohgal you are right. train are so crowded. here, at the time of the rush hour, commuters occupy even the stairs and sometimes even 1/4 of the highway. it even cause traffics. but train are really fast compared to bus. thanks

I don't have any other business here in Manila but to go to school. So I ride a tricycle to Anonas Station. Ride the ever reliable chic-filled LRT2, Go down at recto station and ride my favorite jeepney route which brings me closer to my school reducing the walking distance.

Nope. I study in Mapua in intramuros. Yeah. I'm very fortunate that LRT2 exists. So far it is the best rail transit in the Philippines.

hello there red_amethyst, looks like you're my fellow kababayan...lol anyway, to get to my school I usually ride a tricycle then a jeep that would take me to the train station which is the LRT2, then from there on after boarding the train I would be then transferring to another tricycle until i reach my school.

I used car. I drive a car when I go to work shopping of visiting some friends. Before, I had a bicycle. It only last for a year. My husband and I decided to sell it because I wont need it anymore. Felt bad though it was his birthday gift for me. But as an exchange of my bicycle, it was a car.

I live in zamboanga city, philippines and it is a very small city so there are just two types of public transportation that is very common here and that is the tricycle and the jeep.. so if you want cheaper fare go for the jeep but if you want to be comfortable then it is the tricycle then. My office is just near our home and it is accessible by either of the two so when i feel lazy and wants to be comfortable i go for the tricycle..hehe and if i am being frugal i go for the jeep which costs less or if i do not have any fare hahaha i go to the office with my husband, i have to go with him earlier...so he can take me to the office and he has a motorcycle :D

When I go to office, I usually take a jeep or tricycle. When we go to mall, usually it took us 45 minutes, so we used to ride on a bus.

I use public transportation to go to work and back home. I first ride on a tricycle, then a jeepney, then another jeepney and finally another jeepney! That's quite a lot but I got used to it for the past seven years. My brother has a car but I can just ride with him when he's on my way to work or if we go to the mall or grocery store. Nowadays that the fare is still up, I just don't know how to save my transportation expenses. But as much as possible id I go to one place, I see to it that everything that I have to do there must be done so that I need not to go back again and waste money.

My work place is quite near where i live... so when it is not hot... i just walk going to the office... but if it is... then i ride the tricycle... it only like a three minute ride... so i never need to hurry... but going home... i would always just walk... so that serves as my mini exercise everyday...

Gas costs high nowadays. I use to drive my way to school and to the malls but now I commute if I am the only one going. We use the car rarely, only on occasions when the family goes out. We have to be practical, economic crises are everywhere. We need to save up for the future.

Wow!! this reminds me of my transportation before I came to the US. hahaha.. yes, tricycle, jeepney.. those were my rides before going to work. But now, I have noc choice but to stay home for a while because there is no jeep, tricycle or bus in the place where I am now. We have cars at home but I never drive because I'm scared on the road. My hubby will be the driver. hahaha I am still practicing but, I get nervous when I am in the heavy traffic. I miss the tricycle and jeepney rides.
