Funny you mention this...lol I am feeling puny right now. Started out with a slight earache over the weekend and then progressed to what I thought was a sinus infection. This morning I am coughing, blowing my nose and feel terrible. Was up all night last night. This has been going around our area for a week or two. Some kind of upper respiratory infection. I have a tendency to get pneumonia so need to be careful if this gets any worse. Have a great day and hope you continue to escape the little bug that's floating around making people miserable.

I seldom get the flu, even when i worked in the health field. Now that i stay at home i doubt i will get it (watch me get it and it almost kill me). I do watch both my boys pretty close (they both have asthma) because although they have neither ever had the flu i know that it is russian roulette wheather thay will get it or not once it starts going around the school.

Jill,
Where did you say Albert Lea was? I for once got my flu shot early at least 3 weeks ago. Of course I caught a cold with it. My hubby says I got a cold last time as well. I don't remember that. I'm very fortunate, knock on wood, that I have a high tolerance against catching the flu and colds. This last one wasn't too bad. I just wish I could talk my hubby into it, but no way. Stay well. Hugs

I live in Orlando,Florida. The weather is a little cool at night but still in the 80's during the day. I'll bet you are having some coool weather Jill. Are you a realitivly healthy person? My hubby has asthma and a stint in an artery so I feel he should get a flu shot. But it's his decision.

Nope & I shopuldn't either.
My dad and I both got our flu vaccine a couple weeks ago.
I get it each and every year.
Mainly as I am his caregiver and also due to my respiratory problems.

I don't have the flu yet. Although in a few weeks several pharmacies are going to have flu shots available for people to come and get. I got a flu shot last year, but I don't think I'll get one this year. I am not afraid of needles, it would be impossible after all the times people have had to take my blood and operate on me, but I'd rather not get it. My mom should though. Flu season always gets her down, and sometimes she had a flu shot anyway.

Yes, my husband came down with it a couple of days ago. He worked his way through yesterday and part of today, but he had to come home. His get up and go, got up and went, by noon, he was exhausted. Now I'm sneezing and I can't afford to be sick.

I luckily haven't had the flu yet. I just got my flu shot yesterday. They usually do them in mid October down here. It's funny because people in FL always blame the "snowbirds"--the people who come down from up north to stay through the winter--for the flu. The FL people say that the snowbirds bring the flu down and that if it wasn't for them, "we" wouldn't get the flu.
I think that's silly to blame them for something like that.
Last year, I got a flu shot and still got the flu. And it hung on for a few weeks. Hope I escape it this year, especially because we are planning a trip in earling Dec. and I don't wanna be sick when I fly.
Glad you haven't gotten it yet. Maybe you'll make it through this year without catching it. Good luck.

I don't think the flu season has hit here in NJ just yet. But I haven't been working the last month or so, so I'm not sure. Usually it starts a bit later though. I hardly ever get it, but now that I've said that, I probably jinxed myself.

I have not had the flu yet this year. But I don't feel good right now .. I think I have a sinus thing going on. I am very tired too. I might get a nap soon.
I did get the at awful flu last year. I had it over 3 weeks. I can not get the Flu shot.. So I probably will get it again this year..

I have not seen much of it here in Southeast Missouri yet. My son did stay home from school with a slight fever and a case of the blah's yesterday, but he seems fine today so he went to school. His aunts friend got him sick when he was visiting her in St. Louis this past weekend I think. She felt like crud later the same day the she hung out with them.

No I have not had the flu as of yet. I don't get the flu that much. I don't get a flu shot. I got one once and got sick as all get out never again. That was a long time ago and I have not had the flu that bad since the time I got the flu shot. So no I will not get the flu shot. But I have not had the flu this year and I have not had the flu in a couple of years so we will see what happens this year. Your friend onlydia
