Why people come and go in your life? Why so much love then sooner lost?

I have found new friends and they bring joy to my life. We go out and bondings were so strong. But, I have also friends who just left and never come back. Those who forgot to say goodbye. Even in family, there are those who are still here but there are those who bid goodbye. So much love inside my heart and at the same time so much feeling of sadness for those who left or died. How would you feel if this happened to you? Or what did you do when this happened to you?
