I have seen that in some denominations of christianity, praying to the saints is a common thing. I somehow cannot relate to that practise. I believe that we should never have a middle person between God and ourselves. He has given us that right. Any problems we have in our life I am sure we can directly take it to his presence

When it was asked of Jesus "How should we pray?" He gave a prayer to the Father, not to a saint. Only God has the power to answer your prayers. Praying to saints and mary is a waste of time. You don't need a middle man. Pray to the one who sits on the throne, who judges righteously. No one else. And the thought of saints having some power over people lol...lmfao even. The first shall be last , and the last shall be first. We are all equal. We are all servants of God. No man is over another.

That is a good view. I never thought about it that way. It makes sense.

I definitely agree with you on that friend. I also could not find any sense in praying to saints. Didn't God ever tell us not to worship any other god, image, or idol except Him alone? Instead of praying to saints, why can't we be saints to the people who are in need?

I agree with you. I have asked a few of these people and they say is that they pray to the saints and the saints pray to God for them. According to 1 Thess, all the people who have passed away are in sleeop till the second coming of Lord Jesus. So how can they be praying for us. It is the living who have to praise and pray to God.
