I'm expecting this to be deleted because jokes are against mylot guidelines, but this struck me funny so I wanted to share. Read it, have a laugh, but don't expect it to stick around. Q: How many women with MENOPAUSE does it take to change a light bulb? Woman's Answer: One! ONLY ONE!!!! And do you know WHY? Because no one else in this house knows HOW to change a light bulb! They don't even know that the bulb is BURNED OUT!! They would sit in the dark for THREE DAYS before they figured it out. And,once they figured it out, they wouldn't be able to find the #&%!* lightbulbs despite the fact that they've been in the SAME CABINET for the past 17 YEARS! But if they did, by some miracle of God, actually find them, 2 DAYS LATER, the chair they dragged to stand on to change the STUPID light bulb would STILL BE IN THE SAME SPOT!!!!! AND UNDERNEATH IT WOULD BE THE WRAPPER THE FREAKING LIGHT BULBS CAME IN!!! BECAUSE NO ONE EVER PICKS UP OR CARRIES OUT THE GARBAGE!!!! IT'S A WONDER WE HAVEN'T ALL SUFFOCATED FROM THE PILES OF GARBAGE THAT ARE A FOOT DEEP THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE HOUSE!! IT WOULD TAKE AN ARMY TO CLEAN THIS PLACE! AND DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON WHO CHANGES THE TOILET PAPER ROLL !! I'm sorry. What was the question?

Laughter is a part of "Life." And it doesn't matter what heading it's under. Jokes are still against guidelines.

I don't care if it started as a joke or not. It is darn well true. Sad, but unfortunately true for the most part. It irritates me to no end that my S/O seems to think that just because I was born with a vajayjay and working mammary glands that I was also born to clean up after him and everyone else he brings into the house for that matter. I don't get how he thinks that the floor is supposed to be clean enough to eat off of 24/7, when he invites every Tom and Harry into the house, but tells them to never mind taking their boots off first. Does he think that some invisible fairy immediately cleans up the mess he and his friends create?BECAUSE I'M HERE TO TELL YA, I WASN'T BORN TO DO IT!!

I know. I'm only 39 and have been thrown headlong into menopause. I could deal with the anger, but the hot flashes drive me nuts. This is something that I found funny and I can relate. Thanks for your reply. Glad we can see ourselves for what we are.

It's hereditary, I think. My mother was done by 45. She was where I am when she was 30. I started pre men when I was 30 and I think that's why I got pregnant with my last. My hormones were so messed up, I had no clue. And I still had my period when I was pregnant with her. If I had not had gall bladder surgery at the beginning, I would not have known. I take that back, if I had felt her move, and she is a dancer lol, I would have known, but I would have been drinking and smoking. I'm glad my gall bladder went nuts.

I'm only 5 yrs older than you and haven't started Menopause yet. But I am looking forward to no more messy periods, since I have been plagued with cramps so bad all my life that the Dr's put me on painkillers (T3's) since I was 11 yrs old. I can no longer take them as my stomach has been damaged too badly from them. Do you know why you are going through it so young? Did you have a hysterectomy or something? Or is it heredetary? I know the women in our family start going gray at 30 and are often completely white by 55. Just wonderful for me to look forward to. Thank goodness for hair colour, eh? But I don't agree with chemicals. I only use natural Henna once in a while when the grey gets too prolific, lol. I also remember hearing that if you start your period late, in your late teens, early 20's, then you will go through menopause early, too. And vise versa, if you start your period early, before your teens, (like me at 11) that we won't go through menopause until later in life also. Something about how many eggs we are born with. Your body is supposed to know how many and targets the prime time to have them available for fertilization. I guess my body was meant to be a long time breeder, lol. Early to start, late to finish, I guess. What do you think?
