What Would You Hit Him With?

If a burglar somehow sneaked up behind you right now while you're on Mylot, what is the closest object in your reach that you could hit him/her with?
Let's say you turned around right before he could grab you, what then?...
I'm sitting here at my desk right now, and the closest object to me that I could grab is my telephone or maybe an ink pen.
Of course I never want to hurt anyone, but if push came to shove, I could die or defend myself, so I choose to defend myself possibly without causing serious damage, I just want him off my back.
What's the closest object to you Mylotters?

It would be difficult for a burglar or anyone else to sneak up behind me because I work from my recliner with an easychair workstation set up. The positioning of the recliner makes it difficult for anyone to be behind me. Now off to the left and behind a bit might happen. But that would make me have to hit him with my left hand and I am afraid I would not be able to do much damage no matter what I had to hit him with. Let's see now...LOL...looks like the only think I have handy would be a half gallon old milk jug half full of water. And he would see me going for that. Oh well...guess he has me at a disadvantage.

Hehe! It may not do any damage but hopefully it could slow him down for a few seconds so you could make a run for it.

With my luck, it would be the mouse because my hand would already be on it. Then I would try to throw it, but it won't really go anywhere since it's attached to the computer. The next thing would be the stapler, which is to the right of the mouse. That might hurt the robber because it's a hand-me-down stapler from my dad and it's really heavy and made out of metal.
It would be amazing though, because to get behind me, he would have to come in through the door in front of me on the right, so I would see him. Or come through the window behind me. He would have to get through the dogs then climb through the window, make it either around or under the table my husband made for me for my scrapbooking and not trip over the stool. Somehow, I just don't see that happening.

He would have to be really desperate to go through all the trouble, I think it's very unlikely to happen in that situation, but who knows?
Thanks for the GIG!

LOL that puts a really funny picture in my head because when Taz (thats his name) gets on the couch which is by the fireplace he likes to wrap himself up in a blanket sometimes he gets so wrapped up in it that when someone knocks on the door he is barking and trying to get out of the blanket and he can't because he has wrapped himself up so tightly that he can't find the way out LOL. So you will see this big blanket moving wildly around on the couch with a dog barking madly in it LOL. So if someone where to come down the chimney then I'm sure it will be about the time Taz decides to get wrapped up like a burrito LOL.

Haha! I can almost picture it myself, and I've never seen him before. That would be the worst time for that to happen. Hehe!

i have two solid glass paper weights on my desk. i would grab them and hit him with that. it could be dangerous for him to try and sneek up behind me.

A phone charger could really hurt depending on how you strike at him and how hard.
You're right, fair is fair.

Oh, this is an easy one. I just sat down with a hot cup of coffee. It would be coffee to the face and then whack him really good with the cup as well. I then would grab the broom that I just stood up and poke him with the handle or use two hands and get him across the throat with it.

WOW! You're a tough cookie. I sure hate it for the person that sneaks up on it, although I would never wish that on nobody.
Thanks! Enjoy your coffee.

What's up elitess. The mug would be a good choice, although I don't have a mug close to me, maybe I need to go into the kitchen and pick one up for safety.
Haha! I don't need it. I have my fist and foot attached at all times.

my fist to punch him or my foot to kick him lol I don't really have the objects that are close to me other than my laptop or a few dvd cases which won't do too much damage on the opponent.

Your monitor! Do you wanna knock him unconscious?!
Or do you want him to catch the monitor?..He could catch it if he can think fast.

I'm on a laptop and the battery is pretty heavy in this thing, so I'd probably just pick up the whole laptop and clobber him with it. I don't think that would hurt my computer, and I'd probably still be logged into MyLot... that would be a heck of a new discussion to post huh? :D

The closest object which is hard and can be grasp firmly in my hand is a scientific calculator. I would probably hit the burglar with that. He should have calculated the risk before attempting to hit my house, lol
That aside, it would be best to follow the instruction of the burglar instead of fighting back, it could lead to unnecessary violence, especially if the person is with accomplices.
May everyone be safe :)

I would use the silver candle stick thats on my table beside me (its not real silver) cleave him hard with it, or maybe my big glass ashtray thats always with me. I would not want to kill him, but I to would certaintly defend myself. I have a bleep bleep on my door (like in a shop door when you walk in) so he would have to get past that as it would wake up the whole neighbour hood. This was fun cheers.
