All of us know that with rising pollution levels life on earth is threatened. The temperatures are rising, glaciers are melting, rivers are rising. Most of us think tht it is some thing we can not help but has to be tackeled by the government. Waht measures cn we citizens take at personal level to ensure that we reduce pollution levels? i will enumerate one measure, i hope all you wonderful people out there will come up with many more measures so that it can be compiled and read by peole and implemented by all of us. e

All life on Earth is actually threatened by pollution. Every life here on Earth is connected in some way with the other life. The chain just goes on and on and we will see that all life on Earth affect one another. As pollution levels rise, marine life become extinct and there is a disruption onto the niche of the marine animals. This would in turn affect life on other parts of the planet. Pollution has always been a threat to life on Earth and will forever be a threat unless we make proper actions. Initially, all the nations of the world must unite with each other so as to bring the world out of pollution and of the problems that it can cause.

All nations uniting is ok. Those are things at the higher level. They willhold meetings and have a lavish life style sitting in air conditioned rooms. That will not solve the problem of pollution. What measures can we take at individual level? for one i think we can minimise wastage of power. Switch off the lights and electrical gadgets not being used. Minimise use of plastics, Do not buy things unnecessarily and add to the clutter. There are many more things which we can do at the personal level. Can people come up with what all we can do? Forget the meetings and politicians. They can only resort to rhetoric.

I believe that the earth is doing exactly what it's supposed to do and we would be in an ice age or a heat age if humans didn't do what we have done to create the greenhouse effect. Without it we would go to extremes with the weather. Everything seeems to be a perfect plan and the glaciers are freezing again. It comes and goes. the earth just does it's thing to regulate earth for human survival. We are fine. Don't worry about a thing. Recycle and do the little things that we should as responsible human beings and everything falls into a perfect place. The Earth is not in danger.

Are you seriously suggesting that the earth regulates itself for human survival? How arrogant of you. I find it hard to make sense of most of what you said, to be honest. You seem to be suggesting that the greenhouse effect is a benign control over cyclical changes that take hundreds of thousands of years to effect. Perhaps you are one of those who suggest that global warming will be good for us, it will reduce the population, especially in the third world, and provide a whole lot of new agricultural land in the higher reaches. If you're saying what you seem to be saying, this is one of the most environmentally irresponsible bits of rubbish I've ever seen. Lash

No not at all I am just saying that i think the media is trying to scare humanity for monetary purposes and I think that everything has a purpose and I guess it all stems down to the scientific phenomenon that they can't find the original origin of the human and I believe that GOD has a lot to do with humans being here and that GOD has made a perfect destiny and provides what the earth needs to keep human life existing and it may be that when he feels that human existence is no longer the ultimate species for him, like the dinosaurs, then he will terminate us and move on to another being that suits him. But for the time being, everything is happening just the way it should. I am by no means one of those crazy religious people. It's just a theory of mine and I don't think you should put it down when none of us really know for sure why anything is happening. I purposely said it was my belief that this is the way things are going. I would never put you down for an opinion. Who really knows. I just know that I'm not going to be a freak and ruin my life worrying about the world ending or people dying over a catasrophe. I am actually happy and enjoy my life. I don't have many material things, but I am completely happy and I'm not going to let the liberals or anyone else tell me that the world is ending when I know in my heart there is a perfect plan and what will be will be and we cannot control it.

Let things happen naturally and let new life evolve the way GOD wants it to. Change needs to happen and it hasn't happwened in a very long time and if you think you are so sup[erior to live in a time where nothing will change as long as you are here, then think again. It is time, but we will not be hurt by it.

I believe that the entire planet is at risk from climate change and pollution. Species are dying at an alarming rate, the oceans are being fished out or poisoned by run off from farming and industry. We can make the government aware that we want them to do something to change the current system. We can do little things, like turning off power when not using it, changing to solar power, taking your own re-usable bags to shop instead of using plastic bags, reducing your use of poisons and. cleaning up after yourself instead of throwing rubbish on the ground. These are all little things but little things done by millions can add up to significant things.

yes it is thesse small things at individual level which are important. Don't see what others are doing see what you can do.

all need not cooperate. just do your bit. Think what you cando and doit. do not see what others can do. Switch of light and electrical gadgts when not in use, minimise use of plastics. carry a cloth bag instead. do not thorw waste. Minimise purchase of gadgets to the barest minimum necessary so that production is cut down and so on. It is the actionat individual level which is imoprtant.

Hello everyone Life on the earth is on high risk.Everything is polluted -air,water,land .And we also have sound pollution. Its difficult to breathe in this era ,but we are forced to do this. Its the duty of every person to protect the world.Every one should stop using plastic.People should prefer publlic transportation rather going for individual vehicles. We should stop deforestation and plant more trees. We should nake this world a better place to live. bye!!!!!

Hello! No doubt the life in this earth is threatened by pollution. But no single cause is responsible for this pollution. Moreover the pollution has reached to a level which can't be treated. It will go in its own way till a complete or partial annihilation of life.It is natural process which happens in every ten to twelve thousand years. In the past several civilizations have vanished from this earth which we can find from history and archeological surveys. There was no pollution in those primitive years, why than some lives have been annihilated from this earth?who was responsible then?Of course we have to do some thing to save the earth by adopting some short term as well as long term measures in which all governments must participate actively and all the people cooperate the government policies so that the process of degradation of the ecology can be slowed down.thanx.

One measure we can take is to plant one tree each every year and look after it for a full year till it is capable fosurviving on its own.

i do think we are endangered by it.. i think that they really need to hit the companies that manufactor things and make them take extreme measures NOW.. since they mass produce things i would think that if we forced them first by law that it would get us off to a great start in trying to stop any further damage.. hopefully every one is already doing their share but i know a lot of people couldnt care less which is sad since it affects every one

At our level we can reduce wasteful expenditure and not buy things which we really do not need. That way the need for producing unnecessary goods will reduce and factories will automatically cut down on productions. Government policies can not change things unless action is taken by individuals at personal level.
