What's your favourite type of horse?

I will always have a massive soft spot for Arabs, after having one for several years, and getting to know their rather unique sense of humour, and wonderful floatiness to ride. but I've always had a huge thing for Friesians. big, black, glossy, magnificently muscled beasties.

I love the Thoroughbreds ! The pedigree ofthis breed traces back to Three sires who were history makers. If I start praising throughbreds then I may end up with writing a book. I am a Vet working for a stud farm where we breed Throughbreds. So by vietue of this I really come accross many horses of various ages and both the sexes in contact on day today basis. I amin touch with a horse since the time it has arrived into this world as a baby to the age of 2 years when we sell them for racing. Apart from this I am in contact with the brood maresw which are as young as 4 years to as old as 20 years. Stallions presently I am having stllions of 8yeras old, 10 yeras old and one 22 yearsold. Thus it gives me an opportunity to interact with almost the horses of every age. My experience says that the Thoroughbreds are very intelligent,sensible and most adorable horses. Thir confirmation gives them a Royal lookk and their walking styly is really graceful,Theseare basically bred for stamina and speed, thus making them more and more attractive and presentable. But at the same time because of this they are becoming more fragile too. I love a Throughbred running on a trac, the thrill and the experience you get when the horse bred by ou winning a race can never be compared with any thing on this earth.I lke the Thoroughbreds on the track and Off the track equally and I have been and I will be admiring them! I love my Tennessee Walker. He is the most loveable animal I have ever known, not a mean bone in his body. He is so sweet and gentle, and so expressive! We have "our moments", first thing in the morning we "hug" and breathe eachother in, I love the way he smells and the feel of his soft nuzzle on my face. When we're done riding and I take his bridle off, he rubs his whole head on me, and then I massage his mouth from where the bit was. I love to brush him and clean him up, he is such a beautiful color of red - like a shiny penny.
