Writing can be very rewarding, releasing, and therapeutic. I write about a number of things, mainly life experiences, or dominating circumstances! I'm a writer by nature, pure. Short stories, poems, songs, hip hop lyrics, potential screen plays, whatever my mind take me to! I plan on publishing quite a few things, just a matter of when and if they get picked up!
Share your writing ambitions, goals, and some of the things you write about!

Writing is awesome. I always write poems, and sometimes songs. It is great when the words just flow! :) I always used to want to write books, but now I know that that just isn't going to happen. I'm just not good at plotting, pacing, and character development! *LOL* My characters always solved the mystery in 5 pages! Hahahahahaha! I might still try to write short stories at some point. :) I have only just now started writing reviews. I would also like to start writing articles. :)

I love to write, too. I'm a poet mostly. I also like fiction (especially flash fiction, which I'm getting rather good at. I like to create words with a social meaning and a political force. I'm not a hearts and flowers kind of poet, by any means.

Flash fiction is very short fiction often under 500 words.

I, too, am a writer. I prefer fiction and my life short stories, but I have made more money writing car reviews and web content. I have a childrens series that I am working on. It will be 5 or 6 books. The first 2 and a half are done and I am waiting on the editor for the first two. Praying for publication early next year. Have you ever checked out Triond or Helium?

A writer by nature...that sounds so good.
I dont really have much ambitions, I already published a book, planing on more, but Im not making a big deal out of this. I think my biggest ambition is to learn and get better and better and not to fall under any influence, but keep my (maybe weird) style.
I do agree with you writting can be therapeutic, when I have too much things fallen on me I usually let it all out on the paper and feel much better after.

Thank u mojcica, that made me smile, see:) U seem to be a great writer also, publishing books and all! Don't worry about your style, weird are the most intriguing, look at all of the weird, sick horror films; case and point, Saw! A 5th one starts tomorrow and those movies are some of the highest grossing of all time! So stick with what you do best, and please share how you got your book published!
Thanx again

I really love writing, I think that so far I spent 90% of my life with either a pen or a pencil in my hand but I find it easier for me to express myself by drawing. I would love to write stories, novels or at least give it a try but I'm always thinking that my ideas are stupid and my style is boring, therefore it's all locked in my mind and probably will always stay there (of course I'd write in italian, english isn't my native language). If it was for me I'd write stuff like Neil Gaiman's stories, about fantasy and magic also because I'm attending a laboratory at University that deals with this topic and it's fascinating :)

Why would you think your ideas are stupid and boring? Even if you think so, they're your ideas and someone, or people will like to know what's on your mind! Trust me, you're not the only person with those ideas and thoughts, just put it out there! I wouldn't have known that my blog would be ranked 512,000 in the world (last I checked) if I hadn't of put it out there! You'll never know what people think and get out of your thoughts if you don't put it out there for them to see

I always fell like that, needing more than 24hrs in day But if possible, I just extend into the next day and hope sumn important gets taken care of in time
Further, let people read your thoughts, it's the same as keeping a good idea to yourself; if not out in the open, it's just as useless as not coming up with it at all!!
Thanx

I guess it's because of my lack of self-esteem, therefore anything I do I end up thinking it's stupid and useless. Anyway you kind of convinced me and I might start writing something, although I won't let anybody read it yet. Gee, this is the umpteenth time that I find myslf thinking I'd need more than 24h a day :P

I mainly write term papers at the moment; that is because I am currently in college. I have done stuff for pagan/wiccan magazines and web-sites. I do some writing online, a little bit of everything: book reviews, opinion, etc. At the moment, I am freelancing for one of the student newspapers on campus; so far this semester, I have wrote two editorials, one event, a profile of a student club, and a couple of other things.
Eventually, I would like to get a novel published. In the past, I had some short stories published. And perhaps write a book on Kabbalah.

Why if they get picked up? make sure that they get picked up. Write something earth shattering. i am sure you are capable of it. go all out.

I write for two things basically. One is to put my experiences (both technical and non-technical) in front of others so that other can use them. Another thing is to store my knowledge and whatever I learn on the web, so that I can remember them when I need, maybe after decades.

Writing takes me far away from reality, writing is a passion a hobby an adventure at times it is real and bold also helpful and like you said Taripres its thereputic. I write about love , pain, adventure, fantasy, birds, everything when you write and you love it its not just a blog or a discussion its a passion a love.

I like writing things that happen in my life in my diary, it keeps me busy. I also like writing short stories, because it allows me to be creative and use my imagination.

I write from the heart or what ever I feel led to write about. I write about personal experience, emotions, and sometimes carefree style. I write poetry mostly, some songs, articles, and short stories. My dream is to be a writer. Am I a writer? Well, I have written about that and still don't have an answer. For now, I share my writing with anyone interested and enjoy the new found friends and modest income it brings me.

R u a writer? My answer to that is yes! In my opinion, there's no one way to write, no set form, or monetary reward needed! It's nice to get paid, but that's not what makes u a writer! Ur about what u feel, based on your feelings and experiences, so that's what makes u a writer!
