I have been looking everywhere for breeders and can't find any who sell Red Satins or red satin mixes. Doe anyone know where I could buy one? Mine died of old age about 4 months ago. We're very sad. He was like family. He was family. I live in Northern PA near Philadelphia in the suburbs.

Have you looked in animal shelters? Rabbits are frequently in animal shelters. I live in CA and I'm not sure how PA is for this, but in CA it is easy to find purebreds in the shelters and there are so many rabbits you can find any type you'd like. Try looking on www.petharbor.com to get an idea of shelter rabbits near you.

I can't believe that I didn't think of the obvious. I totally wasn't thinking that the spca had rabbits but I just tryed applying for a job there a month ago and I remember them telling me that they have more types of animals than people think they do. I totally forgot. What better thing than to rescue a poor little bunny. I'll go there tomorrow. Thank you so much. I feel stupid now that it didn't cross my mind. I get all my animals from the spca but I just spaced out when it came to a rabbit. Its such a non obvious pet to me I guess, but it was cherished just as much as the rest of my pets. Thanks.

You're very welcome. And don't feel stupid, most people don't know that shelters have rabbits and other non-dog/cat pets available. Or even if they heard of it, it's not the first thing to come to mind.
I'm happy to have helped you hopefully to be able to save a life of a shelter rabbit. :)
