You heard the question, should 9/11 be a paid federal holiday? Or would this mean victory for the terrorists? You tell me, one person's opinion CAN make a difference

I think it should be a paid holiday. All businesses should close on this day and pay their employees. This would honor the people who were murdered by the terrorists. All businesses including restaurants, bars, grocery stores, and convenience stores should close on this day. Of course, essential personnel like the ones at hospitals, fire departments and law enforcement would have to remain on the job as usual, but other businesses should close down for the day and employees should be paid...

I feel it should be a national holiday I dont know about a paid holiday I know there are people who will never forget it but there are some who never think twice about it and I believe it should always be remembered We lost thousands of good people that day they deserve to be honnered

Why do you want to make a disaster a national holiday? America shoudlbetter forget that day as thesaddest day. People shoudl light a candle in the memory of those killed and resolve to fight hard against terrorism which is threatening the world. It shoudl be a day of vigil rather than a holiday.

No. Politicians always throw 9-11 in our faces right before they are about to pass some unpopular peice of liberty restraining legislation. A holiday would just give them more opportunity to scare the crap out of the public and further exploit the victims for political purposes.
Can you imagine years from now people saying "Happy Terrorist Day"?
