What if the entire world wer just one country?

Have you noticed the Globe as my avtar? The reason i put the globe as my avtar is that I woudl like to be a global citizen. The entire globe as one country. One government, one people, one set of standards,one currency, one religion, no conflicts, no violence in the name of nation, religion, caste or creed. Wouldn't it be great? Wouldn't the world be a more livable place? Waht woudlbe the advantages of having the entire world as oen nation? i would like to have your views.

I respectfully disagree with you. Governments are tyranical by nature, and if there was only one government, it would more than likely be in the form of a monarchy or dictatorship.

have a strong opposition party. don't let the Government get away with what it choses. Look at the positives. Negatives will always be there. You can move around the world without a visa or a passport, you need not convert currency to another country's currency but can use one standard currency, There willbe no wars between nations. Europe has come together and united under one currency why can't the world? Can you think of any positives?

World peace would be good, but I can't help but think of the negatives. Someone once said "Power corrupts, and absolute power corrrupts absolutly." We can agree to disagree.

It will happen and it will be great, but there's a lot of blood and misery coming before there's peace and harmony on this globe. Hold on, it's gonna be a bumpy ride.
