Sure that type of diet will help you lose the weight, but be sure you eat enough and don't starve yourself. You want to make sure you get some protein in there somewhere too, to keep your strength up. Make sure your salads have the dark greens in addition to regular lettuce too. Spinach has great iron and vitamins in it. So, as you have heard a million times, eat right and make sure you eat healthily.

Eating salads and fruit may be a way to lose weight, but it depends what ingredients you put in your salad. I'm sitting here eating peanuts. Some people put peanuts in or on their salads, but they would not help you to lose weight. There is also the matter of what salad dressing you. Remember that most salad dressings are 50 to 75 % oil (pure fat). Most of those that are low fat are high in sugar. I'm not trying to be mean, but to lose a lot of weight in a short period of time by eating salad, you'll have to eat your salads dry. Next, there is the problem of fruit. Raw fruits not dried or dipped in anything other than lemon or lime juice is fine. No sugar on anything. I'm not trying to be mean, just honest. If I were you, I'd eat a piece of dry whole wheat toast with your salad. It will add a few calories, but it will quiet that rumbling stomach. Good luck. Let us know of your success.

Eating veggies, fruits and salads are always good...as long as you don't drown them in dressings and sauces. Drinking water and excercise are good for you too.
While you are dieting, don't forget the proteins...you don't want to be sick and not be able to go on your trip.
Enjoy San Fransisco!!

You sound very determined and conscious about your body and face. So i think that eating loads of green vegetables and fruits along with drinking about 12-14 glasses of water per day would do ......but as far as your face is concerned you must drink 2 glasses of water after getting up in the morning and consume about 2 orange fruits everyday....... and as far as your body is concerned you can rely upon yoga this will improve your body as well as will freshened up your mind. this will help you turn out to be more energetic and help you acquire more confidence and ultimately you will appear more beautiful and charming than ever......... TRY IT it will definitely bring about a change in you in a month.

Well, that's the thing. Are you gonna feel hungry from just greens and fruit, and possibly cave in to something heartier?
Protein is the thing that keeps you full. A small tin of tuna added to this, will give you protein and needed nutrition, have really good fats (you know, the ones you need that in small portions don't make you gain any weight, instead helping you lose it), and keep you fuller for longer, so you can eat less.
Personally I'd combine it with a short workout, nothing too strenuous but designed to help you lose weight, like a ten minute jog about 4 times a week. You'll feel fitter, you'll tone your legs, burn kilojoules and thus lose more weight quickly, and healthily. Plus, the toning will help you shape up, and look better!Water is the best liquid to hydrate yourself, so I wouldn't change anything there, though.
Hope this helps, if only marginally. Cheers.

I would not go for it the whole month. I would cut out your fat, eat skinless chicken, take the fat off of your meat if you like beef, increase your portion of fish. I do go one day when all I eat are salads and fruit, but that is all. Just make sure the greens are dark greens like Romaine letter or and or spinach, arigula, and add lots of celery, carrots, tomatoes, peppers, etc. You have to eat a balanced diet and even though salads and fruits are good for you, i would not recommend a whole month of them.

Yes, you can eat salads and you will lose weight.. Or you could also not eat fatty meat and sugary food.. Just have lean meat and greens. Stay away from rice, pasta, bread.. and you should lose weight. Just don't torture yourself.. From your face shot, you do not look fat.. I think you look fine.. :) Oh.. and exercise as well so that you can tone your body!!:)

I think it is not wise for you to just eat fruits and drink water. Where is your energy coming from? You might not even get to San Fran if you are havign such a diet. I'm not trying to be mean, but it is important that you take a more balanced diet rather than do something detrimental to your body. The important thing when going on a diet is to eat smaller portions of what you normally eat. If you usually have one whole plate of your staple food, cut it down to half. I think that would be a more reasonable way to diet. Remember to exercise too. Be realistic cristis and do what you need to do without harming your body. All the best!

Hey crissy, We have the same problem! I don't think it's a compliment at when when people tell me that I'm beautiful but chubby or that I have great skin but I'm too fat. Humph! I think the salad diet would work, but make sure you have some protein in your diet too. Try getting in some exercise if you can. But don't overdo it because you might faint from exhaustion! If you have too much fiber you might have diarrhea too, just a heads up.

I have found that slim quick really works. They give a a months worth of pills so it is a lot better then those pills that start you out at 2 and work up to six a day and you are shelling out $50 a week. I started with their week long clensing and then went to the regular pills. In the last month I have lost 8 lbs. That is a great accomplishment for me. I also bought the Firm. It is a great workout and has helped with the entire body. The only bad thing is you have to aslo buy weights but they are not that expensive. I have seen a lot of good results from these and I am well on my way to lose my 20 lbs before christmas. Good luck!

Yes, I believe eating vegetables and fruits can help because it helps to 'fill' up the stomach and making it feel 'less hungry'. In a way, it will help you reduce your high calories intake.
Of course, you should not only take veges, fruits and water ONLY. You need some amount of carbohydrates, protein and fat to keep you healthy (and probably alive). You could however, reduce your intake, especially in terms of carbohydrate and fat.
Try the atkin's diet, high in protein, low in fat and carbohydrate, then taking in more veges and fruits to fill the stomach and prevent the feeling of hunger.
All the best with your trip to San Fransisco! :)

Yes I think it will help you lose weight also avoid eating sweets and fatty foods.Do some exercise every morning. Why not try drinking herbal tea instead of sodas or artificial juices. Most asia country drink herbal tea and you can see that most of women there are slim because they drink tea.It benefits your body because it helps to detoxify and cleanse.Drinking tea should be done every night.
