What are the First Impressions of People on You?

Sometimes if not most of the time, people we first meet have first impressions on us--sometimes these are true but most of the time, these are the opposites of who we really are.
Usually people would think that I am a strict and hard-to please person because of my serious outlook. Well, I am not and the time they knew me, they were all surprised to know how friendly and easy to please I am. Has this happened to you?
Can you share your first impression experiences? Thanks in advance?

a very dearest friend of mine first thought i was snob, unfriendly, and a serious person because i don't talk too much when i meet new people. I don't start conversations. It was during our second year in college, when we first see each other. She's now one of my best friends i can count on.

i would have to say that my first impressions of people are generally spot on. i can usually figure out a person in 5 mins or so i can tell alot about them, but the again ive spent my whole life figuring people out and i have a a degree in psychology so know all about body language etc. i think maybes once or twice i may have got it wrong but not very often. guess thats why they say first impressions are the most important :)happy mylotting
