is response to a post makes money or posting makes money?

if your discussion attracts responses then i presume you would be earning something for that but that if you do have. on the other side, you make quality and descriptive posts then that is a sure win-win situation for you that you gotta earn from it. so your discussion depends whether there's someone who gonna post something but the good side of it is, your earnings doesn't stop right there and every time someone post you earn more even your accounts have been updated already in a given day. this is another reason why you'd notice a fluctuation of your earnings.

Both of course gives credits to you. But the fact is that the more you are descriptive, the more you earn. You have just written a line in your discussion now. But try to write atleast 5 lines. Write your description in an attractive way. Start with capital letter and be proper in writing. The writing is more important here. When responding also, make sure that you are clear with your answers and just don't write a big single para. Split it into small paras and make it in a readable form. Coming to your question, starting discussions actually will get more earnings if we work well. Because we will earn for each response we get. Try to get more response which means that you are earning more. Comment on all the responses that your discussion gets. Only then people will come back to your discussion. All the best.
