How do you determine if you're successful? Do you set goals and then when they're checked off you consider yourself successful? How many of you set goals on a regular basis and follow through to accomplish them? I am constantly setting goals but that's as far as it gets. Any suggestions?

At present, I am not. But I do have goals that I work towards in life. I really believe in having a good life and being the very best that you can be. But I don't work, but as far as I'm concerned, I have skills, a degree and I can work it with the next person. Like I tell my children, don't be no bum. I kind of feel a bit bad on that because you have folks who you may consider bums, but they have skills and education, but for some reason or the other, something happened where they didn't have that any longer.

I do set goals. As a matter of fact, I set daily goals, weekly goals, and long term goals. I think though that it is not just important to set goals, but also to chart the path to completion. This may mean that there are some tough days of not achieving those goals, but it is important to dust yourself off and keep on going. When you reach a goal, enjoy it and then start on the next.

i always set short-term goals. although i do have long-terms, i set it together with the short-term goals. and i do check it off my list as soon as i've accomplished it. you feel a sense of accomplishment and success after doing so. for me, its success because i tend to procrastinate. so accomplishing something really is a success to me. try doing small short term goals first. once you've done it, set another short term goal and make it big. etc. hope you become successful! :)

I found this quote recently and I like to think it's true: You have achieved success if you have lived well, laughed often and loved much.Author Unknown I think I have done all three! I also set myself short term targets to reach. These will help me to accomplish the bigger goals in life, if I take things one step at a time, build on each success, and move on to the next stage, until I finally end up where I want to be.

I constantly set little goals for myself, easy to reach goals. When I reach them it does give me a sense of productivity. I like to feel like I am getting something done.
