Cycling Through The Rain...!!

I have to travel along a main road on my commute,with artic.trucks,and other commuters in a hurry to get someplace they should probably already be..I'll use my bike in good weather given the choice,but last week,my handbrake quit and I had to leave it into the Garage to be fixed.So as a fallback,I took the bike in to work over that weekend.Thankfully it stayed mostly dry,and I do have wet weather clothing,so wasn't much hassle.The day the car was ready,though,I was picking it up as I pass the garage on my commute,(It's only about 2km away)and I biked down there,and got Soaked by a sudden downpour! I was SO glad I wasn't cycling the whole way to work! On the whole,I don't like cycling in the rain...Your brakes are less effective,rain is usually cold here,and with reduced visibility due to rain and big puddles,not to mention the evenings getting darker,it's even less safe than biking in the dry..

By seeing this discussion,now i am remembering my childhood days.I never forget those happy days.It was a special experience in cycling through the rain.

Hi naseefu, l like cycling, even now I still having a short riding on my bike at the neighborhood during evening as part of my daily exercise. I enjoy riding in the rain only during those sweet young primary school days. Yeah, the little boy having fun cycling in the rain recalls me many interest things I liked to do during my childhood, like cycling in the rain together with playmates and totally didn’t bother about the risk having activity outdoor during rainy day, and other things which we disliked to do when grown up. posting and take care.

Hello naseefu. If it is fine rain, it makes me feel good, but when it rains heavily, I don't like to cycle in the heavy rain and it is hard to open the eyes, especially when it is stormy weather. I used to have this experience of riding in the stormy or heavy rain. It is unsafe to cycle in such a weather as you cannot see clearly the road because the raindrops blowing on the face and eyes... In my childhood I used to do like that. In the evenings if it was rainy I will take my bicycle and go out silently for cycling. I enjoyed those days very well. Those days never come agaian.

That become a wonderful experience....I really like to walking in the rain. I am really like to ride cycle in rain also....Whoo!!....I ccant imagine that moment...

I really prefer not to be outside when it is raining. I like to stay inside where it's warm and dry when it is raining. I really can't see when it is raining either, so it's safer for me to stay inside and off of the slippery roads.
