Nail biting! Help

Help I have a little girl that will be 3 in Dec. She constantly bites her nails. I have tried everything! Ive tried putting everything from soap to the stop and grow stuff to hot sauce on her nails! Nothing works. When I ignore it she does it more. When i draw attention to it she runs away from me and bites her toenails!!!
Help i need advise on this!!

I'd suggest you to apply neem oil on her nails. I know it is a bit cruel act but it works perfectly and will not harm ur child in anyway. My mom used the same technique for me,it worked for her. All d best!! But I have never felt that it's a bad habit because I also do it at times

Neem is large semi evergreen tree of east indies,trunk exudes a tenacious gum and bitter bark is used as tonic. U better ask in some shops. Hope it's available in ur country

Hi what is neem oil? I havent heard of it. Where do you buy it?

Have you taken her to a doctor? They might be able to help. If not try a white lie. Tell her that if she don't stop something bad will happen? I would go to punishing but if that don't work tell her that everytime she bites her nails she can't watch her favorite show or play with her favorite toy for a certain period of time.

i took her to the dr he said to put stop and grow stuf on them but she actually likes it. i tried takin away tv dont help tried no toys that dont work. I even tried tappin her hands every time she did it but that didnt help.

Have you tried soaking her hands in something that she don't like the taste of? I wish i could help more. I'm sorta having the same kind of situation and i'm not sure how to get out of it with my 2 1/2 year old. i know how hard it is to try and find something that works.

cant clip her nais she doesnt have any she has them bit down to the skin!
