Do you feel safe during the flight?

I have been flying with may airplanes. My longest flight took about 12 hours. Every time I was flying, I did not stop curious why there are only one stripe safety belts. I must say I really do not feel very safely. I know the airplane transportation is the most reliable and the chance your airplane will crash is really small especially when you are flying with reputable airplane company. But despite of that, do you think that one stripe safety belts are just adequate?
Maybe it is because when airplane crushes the impact of the crush is so huge that it does not matter if you are fasten or not. But I also heard that it is much cheaper for airlines companies to pay one time payment to mourners, than lifetime payments of all medical expenditures and other compensations to the people who survived the crush. So how about you myFriends, do you feel safe during the flight? Do you think the safety belts are sufficient? Looking forward to discussion.

When I fly by plane, I am generally fine until, I board it. Then I get a little nervous about the take off. When the plane excelerates down the runway, my heart is in my mouth and I feel a rush of blood to my head as if I am going to black out. Once this has stopped and the plane gently glides, I begin to settle. Then flying for an hour or two, bump you hit turbulence, again and again. I start to sweat and then it stops again. I look up constantly at the oxygen light to make sure it is not on. Then there is the landing. I think I hate it the most. Bump thud, skid and the awful sound of the brakes and engines. I have made it in one piece. No terror threat, no collison a safe landing and every one applauds. (they where all feeling the same as me). Traveling by plane is apparently the safest means of travel by the way. I would not even worry about the safety belt, if you crash thats it.

Oh.
I hardly think about bad stuff whenever I take plane flights.
I just think about nothing and look forward for my target destination.
It seems to be fun with all the people around you and the foods and stuff that they serve you.
Well, anyway, if it would have been something like final destination then that would really be awfully bad.
For me seat belts may serve their purpose for minor turbulence above but I guess it should do nothing with supreme incidents.

Most of the time I feel safe, yes. I don't like it when the plane encounters turbulence. Then I start to worry. I even have felt sick. But usually it isn't a concern.
