I Was Not Impressed !!!

I was at work last night ( I work nights) this gentleman is always trying to impress me. As I have said before the company I work for is closing at the end of the year and they/we are preparing for the closing as I write this. This gentleman works there also. And he is losing his job just like me. I guess he is trying to impress me because this is what he said. "I guess I will buy me a car before the plant close. I am looking for a SUV, or some other kind of truck. I am going to Atlanta, Georgia this Friday and look for one". I wonder was he trying to impress me. This man has been pulling a lot of over time to pay his bills. I replied to him "I just paid mines off and I hope I don't have to buy another one." Don't that beat all. Do you think he thought I believed him? Was he trying to make me think he had a lot of money? What do you think his intentions were? Whatever they were didn't phase me at all. A Lie don't care who tell it just as long as it is told. I know he is lying I work with him every night.

He probably is trying to impress you. The problem with this type is that they just don't understand that no one cares. It's not what you have that matters, but who you are and how you treat others.

Is he trying to pick you up? To make a date with you? If yes he seems that he is doing it in a poor manner and he is not impressing you at all. © ronaldinu 2008

That's a funny story. I know, when I was dating, I met a bunch of people wanting to impress with money. Personally, I do not want a man that has tons of money because it usually comes with too much rubbish as well. I also, in this case wouldn't be impressed with that guy you described either. He sounds like a real suspicious one. Although, you never know, maybe he is just a hard working fellow that wants to impress you.

I think my reply would have been "OH? How are you going to pay for it with no job?" I mean seriously, you could use some tips on how to buy a new vehicle without a job, and apply them to paying other bills. Yeah, some people hide their insecurities behind bravado.

I don't get it. What's wrong with SUV's? I have one. Just kidding! I think I would have to agree with all those who are saying, how or why is he going to buy a new vehicle if he is going to be out of a job and knows it. Maybe he is just one of those people who likes to talk.*L*

Well, u know what? He might not be lying, but if he has a car, why buy a new one if you're losing your job, specially a truck? He may or may not be trying to impress you, but either case, he already knows you're not interested. Probably just trying to make meaningless conversation, he is a coworker! At any rate, just go to work, get your check, and go home leaving your job behind for the night! Taripre$

He may be going to try to buy one while he still has a job because there is very little chance he will be able to later. Of course that is not impressive either, it is just plain dumb. Right now, if what you have works, and is paid for you would be totally dumb to take out a loan and make payments on something new.I do not blame you for being unimpressed.

Hi chevee! I guess he was trying to impress you! I guess he is just embarrassed because he is losing his job and doesn't know what else to say! I guess he just wanted to try to make himself look good. He thought you would be impressed but all he did was make himself look stupid and and look like a fool and a liar. But, so what you don't care anyway! I'm sorry that you are going to lose your job. That's too bad. Things are bad enough already. I hope that things get better for you too. I'm glad that you were at least able to pay off your car.

Hope he is not looking for a loan from you to help finance the SUV.
