Rush

What do all you music listeners out there think of Rush? I am a longtime fan, going back to the first album in 1974. I have seen them on their last two tours. They put on amazing, near flawless shows. These guys are the ultimate professional musicians. Geddy's voice is has mellowed over the years. Neil's drum solos are simply amazing. Alex - well, as a guitarists, he is only getting better. Thoughts?

I have always been a huge rush fan as well.The song Tom Sawyer hooked me big. The music and the lyrics are the style that carry on through decades of listeners. The song Follow your Heart always held a special spot for me as well.The drummer is an awesome and extremely talented man, and the vocals of Geddy would be hard to match.

are you kidding me??? I LOVE RUSH!!!
Rush is one of the most under appreciated bands out there.....i think they're more of a musicians band.
most people listen to songs and listen to the lyrics, when i listen to a song i can pick out every drum hit, every bass run, every guitar note and Rush is a phenomenal band to do this with.
for 3 guys they can sure bring the noise.
i play the bass by the way, and i'm not talking 1 note at a time bass, i like working the whole fretboard as quickly as possible.
that said i know quite a few Rush songs and i must say Geddy Lee is definitely not for the begging bassist.

Rush is certainly one of the greatest band in the world. Nobody can does it better than Rush. Since their appearance back in the 70's the trio's are still here in the music scene. Although not many knew or heard the music of Rush but for musician Rush is considered a benchmark to value their music. Those guys goes way back in time and still remain the as it is even a few turbulence landed on them. Their music is unique not only that they made a signature that many bands nowadays look up on them. The best in progressive-rock genre. It wouldn't for Rush band like Dream Theater, Queensryche, Metallica, Opeth, After Forever and many more in this genre wouldn't exist.
