Doves are such beautiful creatures, that soar to the sky in all their grace and beauty. So much so that they inspire poets to write about far off dreamlike settings that delve into the core of spirituality, in that they are symbols of peace, hope and good tidings.

Doves symbolises pure and hope....truly agree with you.
I attended a church many years back called 'Dove Assembly'.
Dove is the bird that Noah send out during the Noah's Ark and the Great
Flood to check whether there are any green out there. It came back with
a twig of olives leaves. This means there are HOPE for mankind..
Dove is so gentle, so pure and so graceful!

As white as Snow, As Gentle as the DOVE!
I remembered Dove was always related to gentleness.
Dove is white, pure and full of hope, just like what
you mentioned above. Christmas card always depict a
picture of dove to send the message across to everyone
about peace, hope and good tidings. As written above
by another myLotter 'James' that dove is the bird
mentioned in the Bible during Noah's Ark and the Great
Flood.

They are wonderful aren't they. My 2 doves don't soar to the sky though, because they are domesticated and aren't the best of fliers. They are so gentle and sweet though.

I absolutely adore doves. Although mine have shown that they are not as graceful as they are shown to be, they are also smarter than people think. Mine have even trained me to open the cage door when they want to fly around.
