Many people strive for material resources and while it may make life easier in some ways, it does not mean that there will be no challenges or difficulties. Every situation in life comes with it's own problems, but at the same time it also has its joys. No matter what our circumstances, we will find things that need our attention but we will also find something to be thankful for. If we are not rich in material wealth, we may enjoy the love and laughter that come with family and an abundance of friends, something that we must never overlook no matter what our financial state. If we are not enjoying life we are not rich but bankrupt of life's most important assets. Let's all take a moment today to truly appreciate our good fortune. What are your thoughts?

Sometimes we are chasing luxury and other material wealth and forgetting the other type of wealth that we have - our family members. Life, friendship and laughter are more precious than material things. Sometimes you appreciated family members when you lose them. © ronaldinu 2008

I feel my life's greatest assets are all the material wealth I have earned through hard work and all the love and the giving and taking part of it,that I have experienced ,without sacrificing my ego and my principles and values that I very much cherish. In my life's cross roads,I have always put my loved ones first ,while taking a decision, thus leaving me richer, and a happier and proud person, and I am happy I did not succumb to the temptation to cater to the the sound of the jingling of the coins in my bank account,at the cost of losing out on my emotional and maternal happiness.....

I agree with you that not everyone is blessed with material wealth but still they have other types of assets which is also considered as wealth. I never measure assets as the only source of wealth. To me love is number one wealth. If we do not have love, everything else would be meaningless. You can be the richest man in the whole wide world, but if you don't bring anybody along with you to enjoy your wealth, what joy is there left for you? It is never fun to watch movie alone, or stroll along the beach. At least you have to have a life partner, or a friend to accompany. And thank you for reminding me of the fact that we should appreciate our good fortune, no matter how small the scale is.
