What is your place popularly known for?

I'm from Batangas, Philippines and my place is known for a knife called "balisong" and hard coffee locally known as "kapeng barako" or also called "batangas coffee". It's more bitter compared to ordinary coffee. And before I forgot, we are also known for the expression "Ala Eh". How about your place, what is it known for?

For the city I worked, beijing, I think the most popular known thing is "tiananme square". Beijing is capital of china, tiananmen square is the place which have a ceremonial when new china is created. So, all chinese know the tiananmen square.

My place is famous for it's food. It's called "Laksa" and sometimes people will called it "laksa penang" : ). Another one food that is synonim with my place is "nasi kandar". Before I forget, I'm from Penang, Malaysia.

It's good to know. I remember, when I was in 4th year high school, our sections were named after the places of Malaysia and I was included in the section Penang. Your place must be good. Thank you for youre response! :)

waterfalls - known as the city of waterfalls
I am also a Filipino and i live in Iligan City, in which it is known as the city of waterfalls, where you can see many waterfalls in my place. In fact The very well known waterfalls here is the Maria Christina Falls. some tourist love to visit the place especially if they are a nature lover they will really love the place.

Waterfalls are beautiful. You're very fortunate. And in Feng Shui, waterfalls is lucky because it keeps on moving. That's why the wallpaper I put in my computer is a picture of waterfalls. Thank you for your response. :)
