my mail id hacked........how could that be possible

this happened a week back.......my yahoo mail id was hacked. I'm still not sure how the hackers found out my password. They sent stupid ads through my id to all my friends. I had to call up my friends & explain that it was not sent by me...That was a big job...it really had me worried. I have been exta cautious since this incident. Don't you guys think that the yahoo administraters should take more care of their members profile??? has this kind of thing ever happned to you?

Hmmmm, do you share your computer, or leave it on where someone in your house could get access to your password? This sounds very fishy. Don't leave anything out in the open where someone can steal your information. Keep your computer logged off.. It may be someone that you knew that did this to you.. Be very cautious from now on. This is bad that this has happened.. You may need to create a secret password that only you can remember and have access to. I hope you get this straighten out..
