I am not the World's most intelligent man! No need to agree with me thank you. But I do recognise that in my Yahoo Mail account (Classic) that a highlighted figure in the Inbox tells me how many e mails are there and as yet unread. In my Inbox I have a highlighted 10. But can I find the blighters? I have looked and I have looked. But they are not there. So where have the gone to? Any ideas please. The more outlandish the better. I need the exercise.

hey pikey check your delete file too, I once did that. I managed to dump all my email for that morning into my delete file ,that was when I was really dumb and green and just learning to use my computer lol.

I got hungry and ate them. Very high in fiber. Thats the most outlandish i can come up with and surprisingly its always my answer when someone loses or cant find something.

They are from your many female admirers and Mrs Pike has put a block on them until she has time to vet them to make sure you won't be frightened. either that or the yahoo elf has hidden them in his toadstool and is watching you looking for them and laughing very loudly. Listen carefully and you'll hear him.

They are inside the socks. The socks which match the ones in the cupboard which don't have partners. THOSE socks. In the event you actually find the socks - ergo the missing emails - can you check to see whether any of mine are in there, too?

I snuck in and hid them from you, little man. I like to see you running around like a chicken without a head.

Especially if you were the one that cut it off! There's ONE that I am looking for especially, not that it should be there. But you never know. Now, may I have them back please? There might be important communications from people in far flung exotic places offering me untold millions from lotteries that I have never joined. LOL.

hi pikey well I dont have a yahoo mail account but I did this once, and made me feel so utterely stupid, i somehow managed to put all my incoming emails into the delete folder, then not knowing they were there, I found an older email I wanted to delete so I hit the delete button on deletefolder, and then tol my dismay found that I had also deleted all myincoming mail for that morning. myson mangaged to recover most of them for me, but one or two had went bye bye. this was when I was first learning how to use my computer lol. Ihad managed to drag the heading incoming mail and had dropped it inside my delete folder. but I sure learned quickly what not to do. lol.now for my far out idea. I know that when mylot makes a glitch, and I have a nice fat response all typed and I hit post response it is supposed to show up in the right discussion, right? well I did that four times in one day only to not find the response in that discussion. it had simply disappeared into the ionosphere, that place where all the missing socks go, and anything else that is missing, that ionosphere out there somewhere.if we can find that we can find all our missing email, our missing responses, and mymissing socks too.

Have you checked every single page of your inbox??? Sometimes they may be old message that you haven't read so I would check every page of your inbox and make sure that you haven't missed any!!
Sounds like your inbox needs de-cluttering and no I'm not offering to do it, Ive spent the last fortnight de-cluttering my mylot inbox!!!
Hope you find those blighters so that we can all get a good nights sleep tonight!! lol x

That is very strange, how they weren't there yesterday but have popped up today!!! At least you managed to solve one of the mysteries!!
Were they emails that you had read before or news ones that hadn't been read?? Wasn't that about the time that you were in Singapore?? Maybe its a delayed reaction because you were away???
Who knows!! Its a good job they weren't important emails!!

P1ke..it looks like you found the little buggers even after they were stolen, eaten and hid from you from everyone..now actually after your foot massage i hid them somewhere figuring you would like to go on a scavenger hunt somewhere in my area...

How very confusing. Glad you've found them now. I don't use Yahoo, but this happens to me in Hotmail sometimes and it usually ends up that they are messages from the past that are hard to find. Actually it sounds a bit spooky when you say it that way, like they're ghost messages... Maybe they are, it being close to Halloween. That's probably why you couldn't find them before. They're trying to freak you out! Maybe the ghosts used to live in your computer before you bought it and they're trying to scare you away so it can be there's once more.

Yes, I saw that you found them. Spam is soo annoying.
I still reckon they're ghosts. That's how they were able to be invisible yesterday yet show themselves today. They're trying to freak you out .

Hi p1key,
They must be running around some where in your computer, you have to chase after them for some light excerse, they will show up when you least expect them to. Start chasing! Hugs.
