Human's can remember as far back as the age of two or three. Our memories are often part of our family history that has been frequently retold by others. So, our memories are often partly their recollections. When we retrieve a memory, our brain goes back to the last time we thought or talked about it. In other words, it's the latest recorded version that we remember. We also tend to script our memories by adding, each time we remember, new features and deleting others. There is only one thing I can remember as a child. I may have been around 4 years old. One day when I was in the Nursery, my Mom got late to come and pick me. I can still remember that was a rainy day and I was wearing my rain coat and was waiting for her. When she came I started to cry. That was the only thing I can remember. How about you? How far can you remember?

Gosh! I can't even remember what i did exactly this time last month let alone as far back as childhood days. there are too much memory in my mind and it's so hard to filter which one was the earliest. I remember only when i was in elementary school, i went alone and sometimes with neighbors. unlike these days that parents have to drop off or pick up their kids from school. don't react wildly, it's common here in the Philippines to let their child go alone to school. we have no wild psychos roaming around. at least, none existed during my time. I remember something my mom told me about what happened when i was still five years old or younger. she left me in the living room coz she was doing something in the kitchen. when she went back to check on me, i was gone. it seemed that i wander off alone outside, maybe, my mom left the front door open. she went crazy looking for me and a good neighbor found me. she was some kind of a relative and they had a small eatery and she let ate something. it's fun recounting our younger days especially those old memories recounted by our parents. they'd tell us what a goof we were and how loud our cries were.

I'm sure your mom would have had a hard time to bring you up. Thanks for responding.

LOL I was just thinking of amking a discussion about what is your earliest memory hehehe. You read my mind The earliest memory I have is at the age of two, when I was in a hospital, I remember it was carnival time (similar to halloween) and I had a nice outfit, which I ruined my spilling the juice all over it. I remember crying so hard because of this. I guess crying must have had a great impact on you and me...were we seperated at birth? LOL j/k The next memories are from the age 4-5 and more.
