When people are young they can be embarrassed about a lot of things, kids can be embarrassed a lot with their parents regardless, I don't know why but I don't think there is anything to be embarrassed about being the sone of a crippled person, in fact if they really care for that parent and look out for them it will show that son in a very good light and show that they are a very caring person...there is no need to be embarrassed.

Yes, I agree with you. I am a teacher. I and my students are learning a lesson "A good heart to lean on". In the lesson, the father was crippled and the son felt embarrassed to be seen with him. So i started the discussion. In fact, i wanted to make a report to know more reasons for the feelings.
