Yes you can, but like the others have mentioned, its alot of work and money...

its possible to replace normal to automatic transimission. but it cost alot. a simple thing buy a new automatic transmission car. In common market no quality transmission are available. if its available then some thing goes negative effect to ur car. if the company offers ur car to replace normal to automatic then go ahead. this is the best possible method. some of companies like hyundai, honda offers this facilities.

I know you can replace a standard with an automatic, so it would make sense to me that you could replace an automatic with a standard, but lots of work, and money. I wouldn't waste my time.
