Everyone tells me the only way to get rid of an ingrown toenail is to have the toenail professionally removed.
Personally, I don't think that is true.
I have found two ways of healing an ingrown toenail when it begins. Both of those solutions have helped.
1. By soaking your toe or your whole foot in about a capful of bleach per one gallon of warm to hot water, a few times a day, if possible. Even once a day helps. Soak for about 15 minutes at a time. Do not put too much bleach because it could cause your skin to become sensitive.
2. Soaking you toe in about one gallon of water with a half of a teaspoon of sea salt in warm to hot water, a few times a day, if possible. Even just once a day helps. (Ordinary salt can be used, but it is not always as effective.)
Do you have another way to heal an ingrown toenail?

Thank you both Cristis12 and Shar1979, I ended up by going to the mini emergency room. The doctor there peeled it back and cut off the excess. My toe is doing fine now. The problem was that the toenail was digging into my skin trying to take its place. Now everything is fine.
