We pray each and everyday before we sleep, when we wakeup, before we eat, when are at church or maybe when we have problems.and believe that GOD will save us from all evil things and protect us at all times. Do you believe in GOD or you just pray because maybe there is a belief that GOD can protect us?

of course!i do believe so..even though we don't see Him, still i believe He's the provider here in this world! He helps us althrough our problems and guides us all the way..God gives whatever is best for us! we pray to strengthen our connection with Him and not just because we want to ask for something. God loves each and everyone of us! Whoever believes in Him shall be saved..

everything that's happening is with God's purpose. I feel sorry for what had happened to your friend. You know, I feel like your blaming god for what had happened to your friend. I strongly believe that God has another plan for you and the family of your friend. There is really a purpose why that thing happened.
Yes! God is our savior. He will save us in all dangers in our life..

God i teaching you one thing!
TO HAVE FAITH!
it means that you have to believe
that your wishes will be granted
and that He wants you to wait!
if your wants are not granted, then
it simply means that God has prepared
more than what you want..

I believe in some sort of supreme being. As I have gotten older, I have changed my ideas about what that being is. I think the idea of "God" has gotten overblown through time and I really think it's simpler than religions make it out to be. I'm sure I'll go to "Hell" for saying that, but whatever.

I think that things like God, heaven, and hell are simplified and idealized concepts that have been created for us to understand what we probably would never be able to wrap our heads around if we were given the real truth of it. I don't know if that makes sense.

I do believe in God, if not God some other higher power which is watching over us and protecting us. Since not everyone has a belief in God, but still they admire, worship or pray to someone. I think there is divine intervention which can keep us safe and things that aren't explained.

That's the problem with some people, just because you can't see something doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Going back millions of years before the establishment of the Christian religion, people still prayed to a higher power weather it be a god, goddess. Like the greek gods, they were put in place to explain what people couldn't. because they couldn't explain why the thunder roared and the sky turned black they were said to have created the gods to explain the oddities that would happen. it doesn't mean it was any less real to them. in hawaiian culture they have many gods to explain things that happen as well.
we as humans have a choice to believe and not to believe. those who do..put their faith in something that's just greater then they are and that's what i believe. and as for the devil, you can't deny that there is true evil in this world. but if you believe in god you need to believe in the devil as well. those are just physical embodiments we give to the terms of good and evil. good cannot exist without evil and vise versa.

But isn't it strage after so many years(millions probably) that most of us including myself believe in someone or something that none of us has ever seen... and we only hear of? And the same goes to satan, no one has ever seen satan but we believe that there is something or someone called satan and there is a beef between GOD and satan.
I believe in GOD but upto so far i only go with the flow of the air, if the flow goes east then i go, if it goes west i follow

I don't pray. I feel if there is a god, then we were a school project when god was a child. Now god is older and doesn't have time for us. We are kind of like a dog chained up in the back yard and forgotten. It is sad but true.

hi
Yes, I firmly believe God exists. But I don't pray to HIM to protect me. Because again I firmly believe that life is predefined. If so, if something bad will be going to happen, it'll happen. No matter whether i pray or not. So I pray to GOD to give me a strong belief to love HIM and HIS children more.
I faced different situations in life which led me initially to think that God wasn't in favor of me. But later on i realized those bad things happened for better future. I can't see the future, so don't know what is ultimately good or bad. but The Lord can see the future, so HE is the best judge. Let HIM to guide me to swim across the turbulent ocean of life.

So you think GOD is just up there or wherever he is and not protecting us? and there are some people who pray that GOD protect them against evil things, as you said you don't pray for protection from GOD.... do you think this people are just waisting their energy and time in asking GOD to protect them?

Hello again
I have just expressed my views. Those who pray for protection, that's they are doing on the basis of their faiths. i'm not contradicting the beliefs.
My idea is that God creates, sustains and destroys. And I believe everything is preplanned. I pray for HIS love, someone else pray for something else. No one is wrong in my view.
My reply wasn't intended to find whose was right or wrong. Rather, I expressed what my belief was about the God.
