What songs do you feel speak to your soul?

I love music. I always have, but sometimes there are songs that touch me very deeply. I mean, it's like the song really describes me or how I am feeling. There are other times when I feel almost proof positive that a song has come on exactly at the right time to either ease my troubles, to motivate me, or to make me think back on thoughts of yesterday. Like it was sent from a higher power, or as I believe, from God to communicate a message to me in some sort of way to touch my soul.
Now, I know that sounds a little far fetched or crazy. It may just be coincidence, but what if it isn't? There's something to think on? How do these song writers come up with just the perfect lyrics that go so well with the music to create a song that can literally touch you so deep down? A song that speaks to your soul.

Honestly I do not go for any secular song. Even when I am not yet a Christian, I love to hear and learn Christian music. I do not know but I feel so much at ease and you are right. It speaks through my very soul. In fact, Jesus used Music to penetrate my heart until I received Him. Songs have the power to minister through the lyrics. But it also has the power to destroy people through the lyrics. So let us choose the songs we hear.
I am not a famous song writer but I write songs for my God while I am meditating on His word and His great love for me. And when I let my friends hear it, they love it too. Not because I have the talent. I believe even we don't have the voice as long as we offer our song for our love one,it is still the best because it came from the heart. I opened my heart and soul to let that person see and know how I truly feel through the lyrics of my song.
