I have head about moor's law which says that:
The no. of transistors double in every two years in a microprocessor.
Also the size of microprocessor reduces to half after every 6 years.
There are 2 other laws also.
These laws are logical ones and are not experimental and holds good for no. of years until now tit has shown deviations because the size of transistor have reached to atomic level and there is no further decrease in size.Do you think there other ways also

well, it may not applicable anymore in near future as today microprocessor already reach atomic level.
Perhaps there should be a new research for alternative material for microprocessor core material to keep moore law applicable.
by the way, beside scientists and gamers i dont think any ordinary pc users would gain benefit from more advanced microprocessor. as ordinary pc users only use pc for writing and browsing internet.

Yes indeed, I have heard and red about it a couple of weeks ago on Wikipedia, and I must say, it's a weird thing to call this a law, because it really has nothing to do with like science or whatever. In this case it's just a trend that has been happening now for more than half a century!
And I think when it will reach atomic level, they will keep going on with this 'law', because it can always get smaller. You have as well microatomic for example..but I think it's not in the near future when that will happen, but more propably in 100 years or so..
