I know this is a baking section and these are No-bake cookies, but I wanted to share this with you all. My mother in law used to make these for my husband and his brother the whole time they were growing up, and I wanted to continue the tradition with my kids. These are so good. Not sure what it is about them, but you can't eat just one.
No bake oatmeal choco peanut butter cookies
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup peanut butter
3 cups quick oats
1 tsp vanilla
3 tbs cocoa powder
Mix first four ingredients in a small saucepan and let come to a rolling boil. Lower heat and boil 2 minutes. Remove from heat and add vanilla, cocoa powder, peanut butter and oats. Mix well. Working quickly drop by tablespoons full on to wax paper. Let cool and eat:)
It takes about 15 total from start of prep time til you are eating these yummies. Great for a quick snack or unexpected company. Enjoy!

It's a great recipe. I haven't tried it yet but a friend of mine used to make these too, but I don't think she added peanut butter in them. Hmm.. I'd try this one soon. Further, what were you referring to when you said to mix first four ingredients in a small saucepan? Did you mean the 2cups of sugar, 1/2 cup milk, 1/2 cup butter and 1/2 cup peanut butter?? then you mentioned the peanut butter again .. I'm confused.
=) Kindly enlighten me..

Major bummer!! Ooops! That was my error. It's suppose to be the first 3 ingredients. Sorry all. Mix the butter, sugar and milk ONLY in the saucepan. That's what I get for trying to type with an 11 month old on my lap who has more hands than an octopus LOL.

That's really cool, though I think I would leave off the oats. I hate oats! I think I'm going to try this though. Cool cuz, thanks!
