I've been reading in the forums how to use Flickr to promote your Etsy stores and I just wasn't getting it. You aren't suppose to use a Flickr account to sell items from what I understand, so I was wondering how people were using it as a selling tool. I found this blog article in the Etsy forms. It really helps to explain it. So, if any of you were wondering, here's a blog article by an Etsy seller (not me) that explains it very well.

Flickr is just a image-hosting site. Many Etsy members use the site to "show" their items. I have made a couple of sales from Flickr. It's just another way for people to find you and your shop.
The one very good thing about Flickr is not everyone is on Etsy, so you can reach new people from the Flickr site. Another positive is when you do craft shows and the organizer wants to see pictures of your items. You can just send them your Flickr address and they can see everything you've posted!
I try to go on Flickr once a week and add new items. For a free site, it works great for me!!
