I saw a rainbow yesterday...

We were on our way home after watching High School Musical 3 and when I looked up in the sky, I saw a rainbow after a long long while. It wasn't just a tiny rainbow but it was RAINBOW written in the sky.
I was reminded of the story of Noah from the Bible. A rainbow appeared after forty days and forty nights of heavy rain that wiped out all living things except those in the ark. It was a sign of the new covenant God made with Noah that He will never again do such a thing to mankind.
A lot of stuffs has been going on in my life lately. Sometimes, I wish I could turn back time and redo some of my decisions. I just feel that I could have done better. Some aspects of my life I consider failures because of things I've done and didn't do. In short, I screwed up.
When I saw that rainbow, the first thing that came to my mind is the phrase 'second chance.' It was like God telling me that I can forget the past now, move on and start new. That made my day. ;D
What does a rainbow mean to you? What comes to your mind when you see a rainbow? Is it a pot of gold? ;D

You have great devotion to God, Bible and your relegion.So you find glory of God
everywhere and in every thing.Muslims have great faith in Allah(God).They believe
without the order of God even a leaf of a tree does not move.Faith in own relegion is very good.But blindness to relegion is dangerous.It makes a person fanatic.Rainbow is a beautiful natural object.It shown in the sky after rain against the sun.It is nothing, but the reflection of seven colours of the sun in the cloudy sky.Your willingness to do good for mankind and start new work is the reflection of your clean mind. If you get inspiration from Bible it is well.Everyone should have farmness in his or her believe.Thank you.

There's a lot of sense in what you said. And I have to agree blindness to religion is dangerous. I believe that there should be balance in everything. We shouldn't be too mystical. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. ;D

Lack of tolerance is the main cause of conflict in the present day world.Relegions teach us tolarence.But in the name of relegion fighting is going on in many places. There is balance in the nature.Rainbow is so beautiful,because there is balance of seven colours.Thank you for presenting such discussion.

We can often see double rainbows from our windows, when ever I do I feel a great sense of hope. Is helps to remember that the past is past and the future is yet to
be, all you can really do is live in the Now. Remembering this can help with all types of stress. Blessings

It rained here yesterday for the first time in ages but I didn't see a rainbow. 
Whenever I do see a rainbow I can't help but admire it's beauty. I wish I had the chance to see more of them though. I remember reading once that you can apprently see a rainbow as a full circle from an airplane! Now THIS is something I would love to see! It's great that you saw the rainbow as a sign of a new beginning and I hope that all blessings come your way from this point forward.

A full circle rainbow? Wow. I would want to see one as well. ;D Ironically, when I saw the rainbow yesterday it wasn't raining at all. ;D Thanks you James!

Rainbows are beautiful. I have not seen one with my own two eyes in years. When I see a rainbow, it reminds me of art class in junior high school when we learned all of the new colors and how to mix them to get new colors.

wow, you have got to be one of the first mylotter pioneers! I think your rating is a real rainbow for everyone to see! I think these rainbows can be very pretty, like the different colored stars everyone has on mylot.

Hi divinegwapa, I love to see a rainbow it's one of nature's most beautiful paintings. I have always thought of it as a symbol of hope but I expect that comes from the Biblical story that I've read so many times. We all know now that it is a natural occurrence but one that the ancients in all cultures wrote about. If you thought of it as a second chance than that is what it was meant to be for you. As far as the past is concerned, we all could have done better. Please don't be too hard on yourself, we all make mistakes. My advice is to put the past behind you and do something about it right now, because this is the only time that any of us have. If we say we will make changes in the future we probably never will, but keeping putting it off again and again. I realize that I am not in your situation and it's easy to give advice from a distance and without understanding things as you do, so please forgive me if I've overstepped my bounds. Blessings.

No worries. I actually appreciate what you said there. You have a very good point. Past is past. Maybe, I'm being too hard on myself. But sometimes, I just can't help it. There are a lot of what ifs that comes to my mind. What if I did that. What if I didn't. Stuffs like that. But no matter what, I really can't turn back time and yeah, the best thing to do is just move and take whatever actions that need to be done today. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.;D

Ha. Forgive me, but how was the movie?? I love those High School Musical Movies. Anyways, I love the rainbows because they are what the light is made of and are such a beautiful sight. I see these rainbows on my way back from college, if it has rained or it is drizzling and I find that the scenery is completely different from that of watching it in a city. I find that it's soothing and watching the marvels of natures usually makes people happy.

The movie was good but as usual, the first HSM is better. Though the musical productions are really impressive. I just feel that they'd overdone some things about the movie. It's a little cheesy for me.

It makes me think of a new beginning. It brightens up my day. It makes me feel happy and grateful. It makes me feel like I am loved and appreciated. It makes me feel that God loves me no matter how many and what mistakes that I have made. And with you too. You can rest assured divinegwapa, that God loves and cares for you. He said in his word that he will never leave nor forsake us. And he won't .. That was a sign from God telling you that he loves you and you can smile and be happy about living your life, with no regrets. I am glad that you have received an revelation to your life.. I love seeing rainbows, it makes me feel so much better. I have a lot of stress on me too. But, I do know that God sees it and he will correct it and make the heavy load easier to bare. Keep your head up!!!! And just know that God loves you, no matter what you may have done in life!

First, Rainbow reminds me the goodness of God! He himself promised that He will not bring the same kind of disaster to mankind. He indeed is a merciful God. Despite the wickedness of men...He even promised not to do the same thing again. It therefore gives me a reminder that I should follow God and remain abiding in Him. Indeed God is good and in return I also must be good if only to thank Him for all His goodness!
Second Rainbow signifies Hope. Whenever I see it, it reminds me that there is always hope. Rains and storms or trials will come into our lives but we need not despair. God is faithful...he will never suffer the righteous to be forsaken.

I also used to see the rainbow quite a few times, they are appearing as an effect of spectrum, the scientist who discovered is an indian, i am proud to be hearing that news, When seeing at the rainbow everybody appreciate its different colour with multiple reflections, i also like it more and enjoy it whenever it got a chance to see it.

Everyday I look for what I call a "God's moment" A rainbow is a wonderful one.
Three weeks ago my husband had a massive coronary and we almost lost him. He is slowly recovering in hospital. Yesterday I was looking out his hospital window and I saw a rainbow that touched the ground in the trees beside the building. As I watched, some of the sun's rays that lit it up lit some of the most beautifully coloured fall leaves in the area around the city, birds flew through it and my God's moment lasted about a minute. After it ended, the phone rang and a man he worked with for years was on the other end of the line. This man had been seriously injured in an accident last winter and it is a miracle he survived. He is planning to visit us on Tuesday.
Through the expierences over the last few weeks I have learned to put my faith not only in God, but in the "angels" and the moments that surround them
Make the best of the sign and make a fresh start.

I saw rainbow three month ago. It rain heavily for severial days then. It had flood in many places. One day, the rain stop and the weather turn sunny. In the evening, we went back to dorm after a day work. Suddenly, I heard someone shouting: Look!look!rainbow, rainbow! Then, all of the girls went out and watching the beautiful and mysterious rainbow. I watched it until it disappeared. My collegue took some photos and sent to us the next day. It's really a beautiful and memory for us.

I have only seen a rainbow a few times in my life.. but there are not those bright colorful ones, instead, it's more light colored.. hehe ^_^ But still it's a pretty sight to be seen ^_^
YEah, most ple say that, if one managed to see the rainbow after the rain, they must consider themselves to be very lucky, because it represents a brand new day, a new beginning for them ^_^ I guess it's true for me in a way, because whenever i see a rainbow, i somehow will change my mind in doing certain things, or even motivate myself more to complete a brand new thing.. haha =D
To me, rainbow is just like an encouragement because the rain is my fren ^_^ hehe

Every time i see a rainbow, I would imagine myself sitting on top of the rainbow and dagling my feet over and look down into the sea and watch the the ships going by and be free as the birds.

Yes a rainbow is indeed colorful and can be the beginning of something special to watch or look at. But for me, a rainbow means that there will not be another flood that consumes the entire earth at least according to my bible. Leprecauns and pots of gold are mere children fables. I don't believe in those sorts of things.

A rainbow means seven colours. The bright colours of the rainbow may bring in some colour into your life. Bright and full of positive direction. The pot of gold may not be thre but then it will be equally bright. Good luck.
