My hubby is making crockpot chicken. Two of the ingredients have a very strong smell. One is cream sherry. The other is rosemary. It is making the house smell very fragrant. Is there a crockpot dish that you make that fills the house with wonderful smells? Do you make it often?

I love cooking foods that make the whole house smell good. I rarely use my crock pot though. I probably should use it more often. I make a BBQ Pulled Pork Fajita filling in the crock pot that always smells really good. I think anything that has a lot of herbs and spices in it makes the house smell good.

My wife tends to like Teriyaki in the crock pot. I would guess she find the smell quite welcoming. I've always wanted to try a crock pot pear recipe, but I haven't gotten around to it yet. I bet Cinnamon and Pear would be a very nice smell.

I have a favorite and it is beef roast with brown gravy with slivers of onions with a dash of salt and pepper and maybe some garlic powder. It always makes the house smell so good that you want to gobble it all up before it is done and the rest of supper also I usually make homemade mashed potatoes, crescent dinner rolls and green beans or corn. I make it once or twice a month depending on if I could get a good deal with the roast.

That does sound like it would smell wonderful. I love cooking in my crockpot. My family tends to love my roast I cook in the crockpot. They can never wait til it is done cooking. I do make roast often in the crockpot. It is an easy dish to make without out standing over a hot stove for hours.

We use the crock pot all the time, smells from the herbs that you are using fills the house with such nice smells, and sometimes I can't wait for it to get done. I make ribs and the sauce fills the house with the smell of the ingredients. The crockpot is so usefull especially if you both have to work, you can have most of dinner or sometimes all of it done when you get home.

I make a few crockpot dishes that smell wonderful while cooking. I made chili the other day, I have a rosemary chicken that I make, pork chops. I also do ribs in the crockpot then transfer them to a large foil baking pan to broil after they cook in sauce all day. I make broccoli beef in the crockpot as well, and I cook chicken to use in enchiladas, soups, and salads. Sometimes I add salsa and onion to the chicken.

I love to make barbecue chicken in my crockpot. It depends on what type and brand of barbecue sauce that would smell fragrant.
