Now this man has made alot of movies. But what is your favorite and why? I would have to say that my favorite would have to be "The Stand". I like it because it really depicts the good versus evil. He really has a way of playing with peoples minds.

Yes, I would agree he does have a way of playing with peoples minds. I do not watch a lot of kings movies but I did watch this one called Thinner and my gosh that movie was something else. It was scary, revengeful and funny all in one. I try to watch it when it comes on tv.

Has got to be Pet Cemetary. Oh! When that little boy comes back is just the creepiest thing I ever saw! I never want to see it again. It was that good. Haha!

I like "The Green Mile" because it's the movie I really waited a long time to watch.
See, my hubby bought the DVD but, having no idea what it's about, (I'm weird that way LOL), I decided not to join him when he watched it.
Then, when I was in a second hand bookstore a few days after, I saw a thin book entitled "The Green Mile" Book 4. I got curious and bought it. When I realized that it's a 6-series story, I looked for the other 5 books (in several branches of the second hand bookstore!) for the next 3-4 months.
Finally, when I have all 6 books, I read them one by one within two days. I finished the last book around 3 am, I think. Not waiting until I get some sleep first, I turned on the DVD player and finally watched the movie. My eyes were red from crying in the morning hahaha.
It was a long wait, but it surely is well worth it :)

I recently watched 1408, it is a very good movie but scary as one would expect of Stephen Kings writing. If you are the nervous type,I suggest you watch it with a friend. It stars John Cusack and Samuel L Jackson. I highly recommend it

The Stand.
he fact that it was an 8 hour mini-series made it closer to the book than most King book o movie adaptations. Gary Senise, Molly Ringwald, Ruby Dee, Ossie davis, Ray Walston, Miguel Ferrer,Matt Frewer (Max Headroom), Rob Lowe and (Rrrrrrowwwwwrrrr) Laura San Giacomo are really nice
thanks and regards
Happy mylotting

I'm an avid Stephen King fan and have read almost everything he has written(even the Bachman books). If you don't read Stephen King books then most of his movies are excellent. However, I have a hard time relating to the movie because I've read the book and normally spend the entire length of the movie comparing it to what I've read...lol. Doesn't come close. But if I had to choose a few favorites they would be ...IT, Tommyknockers, The Shining, and The Green Mile.

I've never been a huge fan of the movies made from King's books, most of them don't seem to translate very well onto the big screen. They seem to go for cheesy, instead of following the actual story.
I did think that The Shining was a good one though, that worked really well, mainly because Jack Nicholson was awesome in it. The Stand is one of my favourite books, so I think I might ruin it for myself if I watch the film!
The Green Mile is another one that I think might actually work better as a film than a book, the film is incredible to watch and very well acted.
