I really need your help.

14.4, 28.8. 33.6 usually refer to the speed (in kiloBits per second) of a dial-up connection. Cable Modem means that your Internet connection is supplied by cable (optic fiber), DSL and ISDN mean that your connection is through a normal phone line and T1 and T3 mean that you are connecting through a LAN (a fast connection such as you would find on a company network). Basically all the program is asking is what speed you are connecting at so that it knows at what rate to send the data. (Am I right in thinking that it's some kind of video link?)

I think I'd chose Cable Modem or DSL (it probably doesn't matter too much, since it's likely only asking about the speed with which data comes down the line to you).

If it's the kind of program I'm thinking of, it will usually ask you to make a choice but can almost always decide for itself when it comes to the actual data transfer. How is your Internet connected? Through your phone line with a little gizmo that your modem and your phone plug into (DSL) or by a separate phone line (ISDN) or by cable which may bring a phone line, Internet and TV into your house?
