Increase your star rating.

Increasing our star rating is something many of us would like to do. In order to achieve this we must give each other the +. Many of us forget about it or don't think it is necessary. However it is. We must stick together if we want a good star rating. How do you increase your star rating? Do you have any plans to get your rating to 10?

I know it sounds dumb, but what's the point? If it's 5 (like mine) or 10 - does it matter? I often forget to rate the responses, sometimes I don't have time, I'm sure that's the case for most of us - hurrying to start discussions or reply. For the first few days I think I forgot to add tags! If people rate my responses, well that's nice, if they forget - well never mind.

The point is that it is factored into our earnings. Therefore someone who has a 10 will make more than someone with a 1.

I've been a 9 for a long time, even before getting the first 10. But my earnings seem to be MUCH lower this month than they ever have. I don't even think I'll make pay out this month the rate mine is showing up. It's depressing as much as I comment or make discussions.

Oh OK, I didn't know it was factored into the earnings!! I take it all back. Please rate me! Ok, well now, I'm gonna go and rate everyone. Bye - I'll be gone a while lol.

I try to make sure I give people the plus rating when I'm making comments. I wonder if anyone ever gives me any, though, considering how long I've been back down to a 9 rating. I've had a 10 two times, but someone keeps knocking it down. Apparently, they haven't agreed with some of my comments, but I'm always nice when I do comment.

I appreciate that. I always try to do it, too. I like to see people's ratings go up.

My raiting has been sitting around 9 since I joined here in November of 2006. I am happy with it the way it is, and I am not going to be upset by one little point. If we spent our entire lives trying to get ahead, we woudln't be able to enjoy what we have now. I am happy with my star being the way it is.

It is not in my control I don't think. Mine was a blue one for a long time then fell then went back up and now it is down again. I do rate all others myself, always plus rating but I guess not all people do that. So, I don't have any plans, it will be whatever it will be from day to day. LOL

I didn't know how you got a good star rating, mine just showed up. I would like to get 10, so I'll rate more of my responses to help everyone.

it has never bothered me what star rating i get. if i let this star rating bother me, i dont think i would ever enjoy posting anymore instead i would focus on posting non-sense words to every topic just so i could increase my number of posts and rating

I just post the best and most complete replies I can think of. I am not too short. I respond to my friends' posts. They respond to mine. I rate, and I am sure I get rated. That is all you can do really.

hi angra I would like to move from 8 back to ten but havent as yet been able to do so. I think a lot of mylotters just do not hit the positive button on all the responses and replies that they see, mylot suggests to make the system really work that we rate each reply and response we see. I do try to hit a lot of positives for everyone in all the replies and responses that I read every day. I do hope this helps someone in mylot land, wish others would do the same for me.

No plans here. I had a pretty blue star for months, then I discussed politics and it dropped to a red one. That's okay. I don't mind.

Well i am glad that when i reach 100 post my star is already number 10, i think it is all about posting quality post and relevant topic to the interest you choose. I seldom use those plus and negative sign. I only use it if i feel that a discussion is really worthy to receive it or a response is exactly what i am looking for. I think it is not a good idea to rate someone even he/she dont deserve it or dont do any effort to have a rating. Ratings should be done because you deserve it not because it is being impose or being told to you to do it.
