myLot

When I fist came across a review for myLot, I thought that sounds like an easy way to earn a little extra cash; start a discussion, join a discussion, just write a load drivel, easy money. If you spend a lot of time on the site I imagine you can earn some nice spends. I must say though, that since I've registered on myLot and started browsing and reading many of the discussions, the possible earnings hasn't been my priority. It's been nice to register for a site like this, which is populated by normal people, engaging in normal discussions..unlike some of the social networking sites which are all about people 'bigging' themselves up. Do myLotties log on purely for the financial gains or do you do it because it is fun and a truer social networking site than the others ?

Well Robbiew. I think in mylot money is the secondary. Earning is very slow even how faster you are. It is a nice place to intercat, to share. No matter any subject you can discuss. It is place of sharing our practical experienece, thoughts, logic, even likings or dislikings. I have learned something new from others experienec here. So I think money making part should be secondary here. If you really want to make money faster then write ebooks or in wrting competitions.

Hi mokbul, thanks for the response. I think you would have to spend a large part of your day on here writing to earn large amounts of money. But, as you say, it is for most people not the main reason they are here, it is a great place to meet new new people and have discussions on any subject you can think of!

I think my comments express otherwise. I have spend a lot of time in writing in 'helium.' ' associated content', etc. for money making. This rather mostly few line comments only and someone thinking to make big money out is wrong

Since joining mylot I have found that this site is more about socializing than making money. I love that I can come to a site and not worry about people spamming me with "let's make money links". I think most of the people here came to make money but end up meeting some of their best friends. Welcome to MyLot! Hugs, StrawberryKisses

Thanks for the welcome StrawberryKisses. From what people have said, socialising, making friends and having somewhere to have their voice heard is why they come to myLot now. I know I won't earn a fortune here, but I will gain more from meeting people I would otherwise never have met..that's worth more than a few cents I think!

The payment part in mylot is a bonus. The best part here is the advise that I get from different people if ever I have a question about technology or even parenting, especially now that my son is 2years old and as they say "terrible 2's". Here in mylot I continue to learn something every time I login. This is really a great site.

Hello Selina0625, any advice you can get regarding children is worth more than money. I have a daughter who is 2 years 4 months old so I am also experiencing the 'terrible twos'!

First, welcome to myLot. I hope you enjoy your time here. It will not make you rich but a few cents here and there can't hurt. Might as well get paid and have some fun in the meantime. I think what brings people here in the first place is the chance to earn a little and it is a nice site to come to. Would I come if I was not paid? Probably, but I am more motivated because there is compensation for it.

As a matter of fact,I come here mainly to practice my English,because my native language is not English,and I want to do something to improve it.Then I found mylot,a really good place to improve English and also what is more,I can also get fun here,and in addition,making money.If I could get all of these at the same time,I would come here with pleasure~

originally I join myLot is for the cash , but after a little while I understand this is not an easy money option as well.... but myLot really have alot of interesting people with interesting idea. So now I admit myLot will be my main forum on the net. just think the money from myLot as a bonus for our time spend here :)

I think its 50/50 for me. i do like the discussion topics and the earnings are good as well. its true i do get more into the topics here then at someplace like myspace but this is just a pure forum site where there are more in-depth discussions.

I joined myLot to make friends with people from countries around the world, and I am very happy that I did. This is an excellent community, sincere, friendly, and educated. That is the real value of myLot to me. An excellent networking place !Earning some money is an add-on benefit.

You make the valid point that people who use myLot are educated..this is most true. Everyone puts genuine posts on this forum whereas some forums are inhabited by people who post garbage!

I like to speak my mind, I like to read other people's thoughts and respond to them. I don't necessarily agree with the ideas presented which makes mylot all the more engaging. That I get some money for the time I spend does not make it bad either. Cheers!!

Hi underdogtoo, thanks for the response. I have read some good discussions where people have had opposing opinions, but they have always been conducted in a good spirit..no personal insults exchanged etc which is how it should be. The money is always a welcome bonus!

When I first join MYLOT it was for the money then I became addictive and now it is no longer about money because I am able to build some good friendship here. MyLot has great networking than other site. most of persons connected to this for earning extra income plus keep connected to friends. From this you can make good friends too as i have. I totaly connected to this site just because of this reasons.

I enjoy mylot mainly for the interesting mix of discussions. The extra cash doesn't hurt either but it's not going to make anyone rich. At least you can make a few cents for starting or responding to a discussion. If you've got something to say you can say it here. It's a good place to vent if that's what you need to do.

I like mylot because.. from the first day I've joined this website, I've met so many helpful people and I've made friends with them. I like to chat with them and help respond to their discussions. In return, they will help me back too. I guess the earnings are just like a motivation and bonus. I can learn many new things here through discussions. It's a real awesome website. If asked to rate it, I would definitely give it a 10 / 10 =) Happy lotting!

hello robbiew, i just started mylotting a week ago. it was introduced to me by my sister, she told me that i could earn from responding to discussions, but when i started mylotting, there are times i wasnt really thinking of the earnings but instead i am enjoying all the discussions and the things that im learning. i also meet a lot of good people here.

I originally joined this site just to help a friend, I already belonged to a non-paying forum but little by little I spent more time on Mylot than the other forum, I got to like so many of the people in here and when I have a problem I find if I make a discussion about it like I used to do in my other forum I get help. Mylotters are great when it comes to helping people so these days Mylot is the only forum I really go into now...

I was actually a member for almost 6 months but I started to be active only last september. Back then, I knew that I can earn something from myLot but when my friend encouraged me to respond to discussions, then I thought myLot isn't so bad after all. It's easy money at the same time a good place to meet new friends and possibly affiliates for your other programs. I can say that started to be active because it was fun and it's time well-spent because of what you can earn from it.

Hi Robbiew and welcome to mylot. I must admit when I first joined this site about a month back now my sole purpose in joining was to help boost my income a little more. However like you I discovered what a fantastic place mylot really is in terms of making international friends all over the world and the ability to laern new things from hundreds of sources worldwide.

I'm definately a mylot addict now and it sounds like your on the road to becoming one too.

Well I'm here pretty much for the pure purpose of earning money, because I dont get an allowance, and atm a job isnt an option...(I'm still an in school teen, so please dont think of me as just being "lazy") so its nice to get paid for posting... but While I'm here, I might as well enjoy it XD thus post well :P

i log on everyday because its addicting. you can learn so much stuff and meet so many nice people. yes its an extra way to make money but thats not what im here for. i would still be here even if they didn't pay i just love it so much. yes if you spend a lot of time on here you can make some pretty decent money and whats cool is you get to write about what you want! i love mylot. :)
