is the TWILIGHT book only for girls?

[b]i have asked this because my co-worker of mine said that two or more doctors have reacted saying that the TWILIGHT book are for girls only. but i told my co-worker that i also have a guy friend who is addicted to it and that he is straight. what is it that you think about this book? is this unisex or a book to be read by girls only?

Hey skbh12, If you are talking about the book Twilight by Stephenie Meyer then i think it is of personal opinion, I have read all the books in the series and i loved them all, They read amazingly well and are so gripping. But to be honest alot of people do perceive them to be only for Girls, but We love romance aswell, just as much if not more than some girls. I am a true romantic at heart and Loved all the books. If the thought of a young woman falling in love and struggeling to cope with it doesn't do something for you then this book isnt for you. So in my opinion this book is Unisex, it just has to have the affect on some guys as it did for me, But i do recommend it greatly, Such a great book and really pulls you right into te story. Might i add that i am Straight and have a partner. :)

i definitely agree with you. it is just a man's interest on a certain book may it be for girls or for men right? i have heard good feedbacks regarding this book and now it also has a movie. my co-worker told me that it was mistaken to be for girls just because it is in a womans view as the story is being narrated. well books may fit to anybody but it still depends on the interest of the person.

Thank you for the welcome. I have yet to see the movie, I live in Scotland so it may take a while to come across here but i would love to see it. Hope to see some more posts from you soon. :)

Oh dear, I thought only people were labeled as "straight" and 'gay" and so on. Even books are? I had no idea there were typically "male" books and "female" books and "gay" books and "straight" books. For me, books are books, and I love them all!!
