who among you have actually given out a negative rating?

I'll admit I've done it before, but I'm a spiteful person by nature so it's to be expected of me. I mean, I have done it in what I would consider to be reasonable situations, if someone is obviously breaking the guidelines, I both rate them down and report them, so if they don't get banned maybe they will see their rating and realize they must be doing something that's no good.

I have never given a negative rating to anyone at Mylot. I let Mylot choose what to do with those types of posts.

i have a few times. i will give a negative rating if someone posts a response that has nothing to do with the discussion. usually they are newbies and are say something like "thats great..." then put in a referral link to something they want ppl to sign up for. or to ppl who just flat out attack or start out insulting the person that started the discussion. none of that is needed, it isnt pleasant, makes the person look like an a$$hole and petty to boot. if you cant give a thoughtful and mature response that is related to the topic at hand..then dont bother to post anything.

I don't rate people (-). Since i have the power to rate people whoever i like. I only use the (+) rating.

I don't do negative, I just delete, to much miscommunication can come from reacting to these discussions. I know by some of the responses I get how easy it is to misunderstand or miscommunicate.

I can't even give out positive, what more a negative rating ha ha.. well I do try to give out ratings but most of the times I forgot. I only give positive rating, I can't see the point of giving out negative, if I don't agree with the person I will just ignore it and if I think the user is abusive, then I will just have to report them.

I did several times already when I find the post either too negative I usually marked it - and never post at it at all. Those one liners also I do give them a negative post I know they are just for the number of post in there and they are like spamming already in here. But with the frequency of how much i give it I seldom give it unless I feel like giving it.

i had given out negative rating before, it was a member who actually pissed me off and was attacking members who responded to the discussions this member made... aside from that i never remember myself rating negative, if some pisses me off i just ignore them and I'd rather not rate...

I have to say I think I did once, I basically was running out of patience with one respondents. The first time he answered the discussion, I explained to him nicely what I meant, then he again replied under the same discussion about something insisting something, I again explained. But the third time he bugged me with the same discussion, I instantly and automatically rated him the negative sign.

hi redamethyst I think some are going to fudge as somebody has been hitting the minus key as I went from an 83 rating to a 78 rating so someone hit a minus key here or there. I dont minus p eople unless they put something insulting in their response to me and usually I just hit the exclamtion point and let mylot take over. I usually hit all positives as we are supposed to be doing.
