It depends what country you are in, Loxion. The payment rate per search varies quite a bit depending on your country. This is because their partners (Yahoo) pay different rates according to the country of origin.

I think if they were a scam they wouldn't bother contacting people back. No off the scam sites I've ever had hte misfortune to join ever get back to you. Some sites are very slow and I think homepage friends is just that.
I don't think they have a maximum number of searches, but they are suspicious of people who do a lot of searches. Simply because most of these are fake searches. They (and in turn we, the users) only benefit if the searches are worthwhile and so if people do too many searches, they think you're cheating and so don't count those searches.
It's annoying I know, but if you only try and do genuine searches then you shouldn't have any more being cancelled. If you make searches too soon after each other and search for the same thing or specific sites, like facebook, they don't count!
Anyway, I'm sure we'll all get paid eventually. I like their search engine, so in a way its money for what I do anyway - search!

I have just received a (somewhat overdue) payment from My Homepages Friends, so I can guardedly say that they do pay ... or at least, have paid me.
I think that they have had some problems in the last few months due to the enormous increase in membership.

They first said it was due between September 16 - 30, then they updated that to October and then November. A few days ago they sent out a letter encouraging members to use the service and to tell their friends to which I replied that it was becoming difficult to have confidence in them and that, if they paid me, I would donate to a charity of my choice. That seemed to do the trick!

Well I have some great news to share! I have just been paid by homepage friends! Got nearly £60 in my bank account, which is great timing for christmas!!
I was supposed to be paid in September, but better late than never! I don't mind too much though, as they have paid me the full amount I was owed, not just what I was owed back in September.
As to some of the queries people have regarding them being a scam - I don't think they have a limit to number of searches per day, they just are a bit fussy about what they allow and if people search too much, they assume they're cheating. If you don't search too much in a short space of time, and only do genuine searches, not like for facebook, then they count fine.
As for their payout delays - well like I said before, better late than never. I don't mind if they only pay some of the members a month really, as long as we do get all the money we're owed. I'd prefer to wait 3 months for my money (which is how long it took) than not get any money at all! They also do pay the full amount your owed too, so in a way I did have to wait longer, but I got more when I did get paid. As for emailing them about it - I have a few times but not for about a month, so I don't believe you have to nag them to get paid - though it may of course help!
So I really think my homepage friends is the best money making site out there - it may be a bit slow at paying out, but if you only do genuine searches you won't have any trouble earning there!
Basically it pays you for what you do anyway - search the internet! If there ever was an easy way to make money online, this is it!

I think that if you made 695 'searches' in a day, they cannot have been legitimate. Read the Terms of Service on the site and abide by them. The site is meant to be used for legitimate searches that you would normally do. They have software that will quite accurately detect when someone is trying to scam them.

wow thats alot of searching. I've found anything above about 25 searches doesnt get credited at all.
there are alot of places that have a higher payout amount...Thinking clixsense, mylot, thinkbux and they arent scams. I don't think that their partner - yahoo is bankrupt that would have made the news.

Seems like they can't handle the heat, i mean for the fact that they set high payout amount there shows that something was fishy about it, maybe their partners in business are so slow in providing their payouts or maybe they are bankrupt.
Even their updates on that site is a mess, they robbed off my high earning, one day i made about 695 searches and expecting a high earning the following day but guess what....not even a single cent was credited to my account

I haven't been paid by them because I am not a member. What kind of site is it? What do you have to do for money? Is it a nice website or a cut an paste?

Is like you just search for anything on the net as long as that thing you search interest you, is like yahoo or maybe lets say its powered by yahoo and your task is just to search, i mean i can make their 20 pund payout in just 3 days but the question is "do they really pay or maybe is a scam"?
