Here is what I would do. Spend time alone with both of them or with friends with just one at a time. Don't go out with the two of them together and see what they are like separate. Many times people act differently around certain people. When you have them alone you can see who they are and talk to them about different things and see which one sparks more emotions and feelings.

I hate my neighbor, not all of them, but I really hate the one living across the street. They are a family of five and they are really annoying me with their daily activities which for me really disturbing and annoying such as, letting their dogs barking in the middle of the night, letting their children honk the horn late at night, heat the car in front of someone gate, park their car in front of my carport. Fighting with other neighbor about dogs and cars. I really hate them because they are to selfish in the environment.
