Question for Mom's out there

I had to quit my job once I had my kids because it made no sense to pay for the child care. I was only bringing in about $40 a week after I paid out the huge chunk of cash for 2 kids in child care. I am working out of my home now & I'm curious whether there are any other mom's out there in my situation. If so, what have you found to do to make extra money. I'm an accountant & slowly getting clients. I don't mind what I do, but I really miss talking to adults on a day to day basis.

I can understand how that is a hard situation. I wish I had more input for you... you could always check your local craiglist to see if they have a mom's group. It's not exactly a way to make extra income but it could be a great way to make some friends your age, and even find a reliable baby-sitter.

My husband is a stay-at-home dad. We talked about him getting a job but what he would be doing would all be going for daycare so he would not make anything. We figured in that case it was best he stayed home and take care of the kids. Hes a good dad too. We have done things backwards but me being in the military I had a better job so our situation seems to work better this way. I think my husband gets lonely for other guys to talk to as well. He does have a few good friends and tends to make friends fast wherever he goes.

I am at home with my kids too. My husband started his own business in April so unless he has an appointment with a client, he's here but working. I do some digital design work for him and I design websites. I also am a part time Arbonne consultant. It is through Arbonne that I get my much needed adult interaction.
