This really takes the cake ... and the ice-cream ... to another level!

http://www.news.com.au/dailytelegraph/story/0,22049,24551636-5001021,00.html This was reported in Australia today. Go figure! The family is apparently going to sue the hotel concerned for $1M - but the hotel is denying everything. What do you make of customers allegedly being served poo in their dessert? Only in your wildest nightmare ...

Hi guybrush! I just don't know about this! I don't even know what to say! I'm not sure who to believe. I read some of the comments that the people wrote after reading the article and I had the same questions. If it smelled so bad then why did she put it into her mouth? That part doesn't make any sense. Something about it isn't adding up! Also, it is extremely hard to get the sh!t into the desert and OMFG I don't even know why I am trying to figure this out! Could it have really happened? Do these people just want the money? Could the staff have really done this? Why would they? I am speechless and that alone is for me unbelievable!

It will be interesting to see the truth come out, Opal. I don't THINK the people could have done it ... it seems they were sitting in the hotel when the dessert was brought out to them. Maybe because they'd complained about a couple of things (the telly not being loud enough and the food being too expensive), someone in the kitchen decided to 'punish' them - and it's backfired badly. Not good publicity for the hotel, anyway ... which goes to show, not ALL publicity is good publicity!

I would sue them too if I was served shi*t instead of chocolate ice cream. It is a sick thing to do. If I read well they staff can be imprisoned for 2 years too. Thanks for sharing this news. I will be more wary when I order a chocolate ice cream. next time. © ronaldinu 2008

Yes, ronaldinu ... I think we should all stick to vanilla in future! It will be interesting to see how this story unfolds. I hope they identify the employee quickly and give him/her the boot!
